Since 1975, Rex Grossman (6'1) and Drew Brees (6'1) are a combined 146 inches, and that's probably a generous number. For all we know, the two are closer to 144 than 146. Anyway, going off listed heights, this is the third shortest pair of QBs in a conference championship game since 1975 (that's as far back as my data go).
So...which combos were shorter? And which combos tie for the tallest group to ever start?
The second question's pretty easy...Manning (6'5) and Brady (6'4) tie for the biggest group ever, with the 2003 AFC Championship Game (Manning/Brady) and the 2004 AFCCG (Roethlisberger/Brady). But one other combination tie these three Brady games, at 153 inches.
