All fines go to charity. Many players then match their fine with their own personal donation to charity.

Where does this money go, most likely lining the pockets back at the corporate offices
they have to stick up for the company that paid for licensing rights.
Makes sense to me. A lot of us have work uniforms. Whether it be a suit, no jeans, or Applebee's polo shirt... He should know by now he can only wear team approved apparel.

If I recall correctly, he's gotten in trouble for this in the past. He endorses Adidas, and the NFL's official sponsor is Nike, so he blacked out the Nike swoosh on some piece of team apparel he had to wear.

I wouldn't feel too bad for Griffin. I'm sure however much he winds up paying in fines, Adidas compensates him even more in return for the publicity.
