Rian Wallace, LB Pit (1 Viewer)

redman

He was a mid-round pick last year to play ILB for the Steelers. They have Farrior and Foote there. Foote, in particular is not a world beater although he's certainly competent.

Is there any chance for Wallace to step in as the starter?

i would expect him to see some playing time this yr but i think its next yr you see him step in to the starters role ...but with that said who knows what will happen in camp

Who do you expect him to compete with? Foote?

Unless Foote or Farrior get injured, I don't see Wallace playing much of a role at all except for special teams. Farrior and Foote just signed relatively nice deals recently and will be around for a while.

he's a mean mo-fo. I think he had problems with fights and what not in college. Hard hitter and plays POed.

Reports like this are what got me interested enough to draft him late last year. He's supposed to be rangy and play with an attitude. That sounds like a good formula for a ILB to put up nice tackle numbers, don't you think?

clint kriewaldt was re-signed, so Wallace will have to pass him on the depth chart to become the primary backup to Foote/Farrior.
