What's the view on how Marshall will do in the ARI 3-4?

What DB tier would you put him in?

I'd assume he'll start and likely be paired with Peterson at CB eventually, although Toler may be opposite him for the early part of the season.

On the other hand, while being an above average tackler, he was thrown at quite a bit last year in CAR opposite Chris Gamble and he likely wasn't viewed as the difference maker being pimped in this forum over the last couple of years.

Now, he signs a 1-year undisclosed contract and I don't know what to make of him...

That's a good question. I still think he has a chance to start, but it's hard to tell. Like I said in a different thread, this year's camp and preseason is much different than years past. Camp began without the new free agents being able to practice. There were no OTAs. Players like Marshall only practiced for a week before the first preseason game. It's hard for the coaches to know right now. Arizona started Toler and Jefferson. Note that Peterson did not start. Right now, with this situation, it's hard to tell. I think it will be at least the 3rd preseason game before we know. My gut says Marshall will start, but even if he doesn't, he put up solid numbers in the past as a nickel back. Due to the uncertainty, I will lower him to the 30s or 40s when I update my rankings.If he starts, I will rank him somewhere near the top 15.
