Ricky Williams - Undervalued? (1 Viewer)

Is Ricky being undervalued, fantasy wise? Sure he is second fiddle to Ronnie Brown each week, but he has been putting up very nice numbers this year. Especially when you consider where he was normally drafted.

Right now he is ranked in the top 15 RBs in most formats, yet he's ranked at RB50 on the top 250 forward. I am not bashing the top 250, just using it as a point of reference.

So I guess the question is..... are the 1st 4 weeks what to be expected from here on out?

I am now starting him over J. Jones and he will be my bye week filler. I think he can be consistent in terms of getting 10-15 carries and 2-3 catches.

He plays behind a good o-line on a team that runs it a lot and consistently gives him double digit carries. Yet he's still on our league's ww and I can't bring myself to pick him up.

I don't know why he won't continue to be a quality fantasy option.

He can't possibly keep up this pace, can he?

I hope so..... I'm buying

I started him this weekend over Thomas Jones and it paid off. But, in their next four games, they face the Jets twice, Saints and NE...maybe it is time to sell?

It's 14.5 touches per game by the way (although 232 for the season is still correct).I'm concerned that the schedule the next few weeks will be difficult. The Dolphins won't be favored again until Week 10, and all four defenses they play before then are pretty stingy overall and against the run. However, in Weeks 10-16, only New England looms as a tough matchup at least as it looks right now.

In our 10 team league he is still on the waiver wire.

I just can not pull the trigger and figure neither can any one else.

Have thought about it and then picked up Mendenhall.

By the stats he keeps putting up, he is undervalued.

Well put.He might be a really good buy low candidate after Week 8 or 9.

Most Ricky Williams owners are probably not starting him much now, and he has the Jets twice and the Saints improved Defense coming up, plus a road game against the Pats, so he'll have even less value to them

Of course, this means he's also a lousy BYE Week fill in...sigh...

Code:
WK. OPP = Touch/Yds/TDs------------------------01. @ATL = 09- 58 + TD ( 7 for 39 + 2 for 19 + Rec TD)02. Looking at the fantasy points allowed numbers...

Only New Orleans has truly low numbers. No RB has scored a TD against them and they're allowing 105 yards per game.

The Jets are roughly #20 in any format, allowing 130 yards and 0.5 TDs per game.

New England is allowing 139 yards and 0.75 TDs per game, placing them around #16 or smack in the middle.

So while I'm still concerned that the Dolphins figure to trail most of the time, and I think they won't score a lot of points, there is still the possibility of decent yardage production. It's just that, getting Ronnie Brown's leftovers against these teams makes it hard to believe there will be any big games. Probably gotta hope Ricky gets a TD to make him helpful in your lineup.

I am trying to trade for him. As it is he is scoring well. If Brown goes down, he could be huge.
Are people confident that he could carry the load if RB goes down?He looks pretty fresh...and is the receiving threat. But he is also 32...any reason to expect he wears down in the 2nd half? I also see that Henne only targeted him once last week. Is his receiving threat disappearing?ETA: I'm not looking to start him...but considering the way RB has become a top 10 back, and a fair schedule down the stretch...I'm beginning to wonder now if he is a must hand-cuff. I think he is.
