Ricky Williams? (1 Viewer)

Just looking for some insight, hopefully from some homers. Ricky's stat line looked great last week. I know the Raiders aren't really good against the run but the Dolphins upcoming scheduled looks pretty good vs the run (except for the Jets week 14): week 13: 21st ranked Browns run D, week 15: 32nd ranked Bills run D, week 16: 24th ranked Lions run D. He got 20 carries last week...was that a fluke? Sign of things to come? Thoughts?

His impressive stat line last week was mostly due to the long TD run he had at the end of the game but it was definitely encouraging that the Dolphins ran the small so much and with such success. A lot of Dolphins fans feel like he is running much better than Ronnie Brown right now as well.

Ditto. But I haven't heard much about Ricky this year. He was great for me last year and he's had a couple good games so far but I think last week was the first time he got 20 carries. I'm thinking of dropping Best to pick him up. With his toes and Stanton now at QB, I don't think he'll do anything for the rest of the year.

Ricky did get 20 carries, but Brown got 24. It seems like Williams has the better week one week, and Ronnie at other times. One has to think that they will continue to split the pie reasonably evenly unless one gets injured.

If the Dolphins stay committed to the run game then Ricky should do well with their matchups. Even when LT was doing well I had Ricky pegged as my RB2 in the playoffs with Buff, Detroit, etc. Now I will choose between JStew atnd Ricky - LT is not even in the conversation..Now, if only Ronnie would get nicked as usual. No, that would be bad karma..

I remember the Miami running game being worthwhile last year. Not so much this year. I'm going to have to see more than a decent week at home vs. OAK before I'm willing to start Ricky or Ronnie.

:goodposting: but the problem last week was that the Dolphins had been so pass oriented that even against a bad Raiders run defense it was hard to put Ricky into a lineup....if they continue to run I will definitely play him in Weeks 15 and 16 home vs Buffalo and Detroit. He doesn't look good for Week 14 at the Jets and this week is hard to judge vs a Cleveland D that was very tough against the run until the last three weeks....depends on your other options

Ricky's real production last year came when Ronnie was hurt in the second half of the season, so I can't get too excited until that happens.

I sure do remember him last year because I Had Ronnie Brown he got hurt and was out for the season and with Ricky getting all the carries he put up great stats.

So if Brown is out for the year then come talk to me until then Ricky is just a roll of the dice in any week.

He had a 45 yard TD run is he getting that every week ? How many TD's does he have ? How many yards does he have ?
