Just saw this on ESPN site.....

Rivers will miss the Pro Bowl ( I know....who cares really), but the more interesting statement is that he may have missed the AFC Championship if they had beat the Pats......

Would have loved to see Volek/Whitehurst versus the Colts! I guess us Charger fans can stop moping cause that game would have been ugly without Rivers......

Maybe he also didn't want to play for BB.....

We've seen Volek get hot for a game or two, and anything is possible when you've got LT. I'm not sayin' they would have won without Rivers, just that they could have.

I bet Tom Brady comes up with a phantom injury that keeps him out of replacing Rivers in the Pro Bowl. Not sure he'd be that interested in going there was Rivers' "backup".
