I was wondering what people are thinking about Kelley going forward for in 2017?
To me he’s been a pretty tough guy to get a handle on this season...In the first game of the year it just wasn’t in the game script for him (or any other WSH rb) to get a lot of carries. The second game of the season he played roughly a quarter of the game and he put up 78 and yds and then got hurt and left the game. He is forced to miss the 3rd game. He then starts the 4th game, but gets dinged up again...According to reports he will be back in week six and will be the starter according to Jay Gruden...To me it just seems that Gruden doesn’t have a ton of faith in Chris Thompson (Gruden said “He’s going to keep pushing me for them (more touches) but he’s not going to get them”) and Perine was been less than effective.
Assuming health how do you think Kelley will do the rest of the season? To me he could put up low to mid range #2’s going forward if he can actually get on the field and the coach is true to his word about limiting Thompson’s touches
