Rob Rang Chat Details (1 Viewer)

Great job on the interview DD. Lots of good information. If anybody hasn't checked it out, it's definitely worth your while.

I wish you could have signed him up to two or three hours. He really stuck to that sixty minutes and didn't come close to ninety, didn't he? I also wish I got some of my questions answered, but alas, I guess some of them weren't 2006 draft related.

Very cool stuff.

Also sweet that my question made it into the lineup

Thanks for having him on...

he did 90 or 92 or somesuch

Not sure if this is the place, but where do you guys agree/disagree with Rang's comments?

I thought he was spot on with his assessment of Norwood. There just doesn't seem to be much wiggle in this guy, and I don't think he sets up his blocks at all.

I disagreed with his take on Maurice Drew. Although he may be right that Drew ends up a 2nd or 3rd rounder, no way do I ever see him as a feature back in the NFL. He's just too small to handle all the duties.

edit to add - what's up with Demetrius Summers? I have heard of him before but I guess he now bears watching for the end of this draft?

Drew may be short be he's not a "small" guy, he's got thighs like tree trunks and he's a solid 207lbs. Is he really that much smaller than the other top RBs coming out besides White?Bush 6' 205

Williams 5'9" 209

Maroney 5' 11" 205

Calhoun 5' 9" 195

Addai 5'9" 201

Harrison 5'9" 196

Norwood 5'10" 205

Drew 5'6" 207

I think Rob Rang is right, I can see Drew going to Indy and have an immediate impact.

I agree with Rob. Isn't Westbrook the featured guy in Philly?I don't believe height plays a bit of difference in RB's. Even if you want to use that argument, he's not that shorter than the others & the only thing he's small is in the sense of his height. Absolutely huge lower half.

I absolutely love the versatitle Drew. In the right place, he very well could be the next Westbrook (or Dunn).
