Rocky Boiman (1 Viewer)

can't remember where i read it, but i know i read that boiman started in the middle and demorrio and derrick flanked him on the outside last week. the raiders try to run, run, run and then try to run some more, and if fargas gets the majority of carries its straight forward between the tackles. does he continue to start? i can't seem to find much info on the Pat Thomas/Donnie Edwards injuries

Chiefs | Thomas will play in Week 13

Fri, 28 Nov 2008 10:55:24 -0800

Adam Teicher, of the Kansas City Star, reports Kansas City Chiefs LB Pat Thomas (hamstring) practiced fully Friday, Nov. 28, and was removed from the team's injury report for Week 13.

I think this removes all value from Boiman, am I right?

I don't think Thomas was playing all that well and had been removed from many of the subpackages before his injury. It wouldn't surprise me to see Thomas behind Boiman on the depth chart at this point. Can't find anything in the local media (which is pretty poor in KC) suggesting anything one way or another.

I was hoping you would post in here Jene. I've been googling KC local news & message boards all Sunday afternoon and can't find much at all, other than some KC fans not too excited about Thomas returning. Before reading Vic Mackey's post above, it looked all week that Boiman could be an excellent one-game plug-in against Oakland tomorrow. Seeing as how I will have to make a decision whether to sit or start him within the next five hours (the joys of being on the other side of the world!), it looks like I may as well toss a coin on this one.

I'm starting him with somewhat confidence. He's not going to get you a goose-egg... If your playing Rocky Boiman your already reaching to begin with, so any points will do. Donnie Edwards is still out and when Pat Thomas was in Boiman still had stats of 6 solos + a game. He's going to be on the field... he might not get you another 12 tackle game, but the upside is worth the risk as far as im concerned. His floor should be 6 solos with a couple of assisted.
