Roddy White (1 Viewer)

Roddy White besides his 1 td catch in week 2 has done nothing. With games of 42, 53 and 24 yards his season has been pretty awful. To put that in perspective his 119 total yards are just 11 more then Tedd Ginn had in his Monday Night Game! A lot of people drafted Rod with the expectation of being a No. 1 WR, is it to early to label him a bust?

Yes too early. And I'd be buying low in dynasty if possible. Anytime you can get a talented WR with a rising QB, you do it.

If Turner doesn't get going soon, you'll see Ryan airing it out even more.

I guess the obvious reason for the decline is the addition of Gonzalez, taking away all of Rod's balls.
Comparing this year to last year, Roddy White is getting 0.646 less targets per game. There are many potential reasons for Roddy White's slow start, lack of targets is a pretty weak one. I'd buy low if i could.

What kind of question is that? I don't know how many people he will screw this year. How could anyone possibly know except Roddy himself. What a sick puppy you are.

So far my worst league I thought was my strongest after the draft ... ADP was great but Jennings, Steve Smith, and then Royal as the kill shot with guys like Felix Jones for my RB2 was looking like a sure-fire domination especially with Zach Miller and Laurent Robinson late. My point ... it's a long season. I have no doubt I'll ride the Coffees, Choices, and Bryant Johnsons of the world to bridge the gap and still make the playoffs.

The targets for the Falcons WRs have gone up each week while TE and RB targets have dropped each week so far. So far the falcons are on pace to pass 485 times compared to 434 last season. Roddy is catching 58% (15 of 26) of his targets compared to 59% last year. About a 3rd of the total passing targets are going to him 29% compared to 34% last season, he's down by 5 targets based on that percentage. He averaged 9.25 targets last year, he beat that twice, but is down for the year with an 8.67 targets per game average.

I think it's too early to give up on him. Gonzo is getting targets, but it seems to me White is getting close enough to what he had last year and the team is passing more so White may repeat last years numbers or have a slight bump up. I think the offense is a little off with how the running game is struggling. I think the team will start passing even more to open up the running game.

I meant screw in the fantasy world. People drafted him with the outlook he could their No. 1 WR not behind guys like Ginn and Julian Edelman
The answer to that question is tough to answer. The easy answer would be "the # of fantasy football leagues in the world" as each one will have one Roddy owner. But, considering there are some people that own Roddy in more than 1 league, that number will be erroneously high. So, this is a bit of a trick question.

I'm might be able to get Roddy for Knowshon or Donald Brown (redraft)... actually I know I can... not sure if I want to though. The good thing is that he can't break out on a BYE week and I can see this week's games before making a decision. Might even be able to get him for someone further down the depth chart like M. Bush or T. Choice.

id stay far away from him. Im telling you, gonzalez looks like he will be taking Roddy's production right from underneath him.
You don't like facts much, do you?Netnalp put together a fine post just a bit ago explaining why that isn't the case:

I don't know about your league's WR leaderboard but on most of mine, a LOT of top WRs are ranked in the basement. You know who Roddy will ultimately end up screwing? You and every other owner who bones him 3 weeks in. Gimme a break.

Good for you! I just got shot down by a fellow owner when I offered Ray Rice for Roddy. I can't believe he turned it down, I thought I gave him the better deal in the trade. I only did it because I have WR bye week issues coming up in week 7. I have a plethora of backup/high upside RB2's on my roster (Rice, Bradshaw, Leon, McFadden, McCoy) and can't trade any of them yet for a WR upgrade. If I don't work out a trade soon, I'm gonna have to cut one of these guys to grab a Bryant Johnson or Andre Caldwell off the wire just so I can field a full roster in week 7.Sorry for the slight hijack, but I had to vent and the Roddy for Rice trade was the most recent mto get turned down.

And in the other White thread, someone pointed out that Roddy has more targets than Gonzo. Falcons are just off to a slow start offensively, and everyone had high expectations to begin with. No need to panic here, IMO, Roddy's getting plenty of targets, and will score plenty of FF points.

:goodposting: A definite alarmist attitude going on here...
