Romo OUT for season (1 Viewer)

Oof. SNF has to be thrilled they flexed into this soon-to-be dumpster fire of a game. :lmao:

He doesn't want to go 0-4 in these play-in games. Would kill his career.

Good business decision for Tony.

They wouldn't have won with him. They are not going to win without him, either.

Sounds crazy but I think his value is overstated.

So let's say the girls win this week with Orton. And then win a playoff game. Who stays and who goes? Romo? Garrett? JJ?...just kidding!

It's December and a playoff appearance is on the line. That script has been written several times before and the ending is almost always the same.

Watching Jason Garrett press conference right now on ESPN. He says Romo is getting treatment and they are taking it day by day. Certainly not saying he is out for the season and maybe not even for the game. Maybe just coach speak.

Looking at the highlights from the Redskin game you can see Tony having a lot of trouble just walking and handing the ball off. Funny how much grief he gets from this board. The dude was giving it all he had....

I'd be willing to bet that he plays and this is a ploy to take pressure off him. So if he plays poorly, it was because of the injury. And if he plays well, it could boost his confidence when everyone starts praising him for leading his team to the playoffs despite a back injury.

The QB play is the least of Dallas's worry. Them being able to stop anyone from scoring is a bigger issue for anyone who watches this team play. Good grief....

they knew Philly was going to destory them the way they destoried Da Bears, this is the chicken sh@t way out.
Yes, I am sure he is faking it.... :loco:
Wouldn't surprise me in the least.
Romo gets no respect, guy played with broken ribs and punctured lung. Would be willing to bet you couldn't even work a desk job with a broken rib or herniated disc.
Do I get a cortisone injection or not?

Sure

Anyone who's ever had a back injury can appreciate what an incredible feat it was for Romo to win that game Sunday. What a gutsy performance. I honestly hope this guy gets the monkey off his back soon because he deserves it.

He also willed the team to win games with broken ribs. Remember last year at San Fran? Also, here is a list of QBs since 2011 with the highest number of 4th quarter and OT game winning drives:

Tony Romo 13

Eli Manning 11

Joe Flacco 10

Matt Ryan 10

Matthew Stafford 10

Andrew Luck 10

He obviously hasn't always played great in the clutch in every game. But he has more late game-winning drives than ANY QB in the last 3 seasons. The guy is tough as nails and plays through injuries that very few others will. He seems like a good guy off the field. Its amazing how much crap the guy still gets.

Explain to me why you deserve any credit for not being able to win (and sometimes not even being able to get) in the playoffs? Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but I never understood the Romo defenders. Can't think of another guy who has done so little but who has so many supporters...

If you're talking fantasy okay, I can understand that. But in reality? The guy just isn't good...good for you for putting up big numbers in reg season. What have you done for me to get the team closer to an NFL title?

I know Romo has a lot of faults but what a bunch of moronic posts. The whole Cowboys team is awful and the defense is one of the worst ever. Orton is a horrible qb and he hasn't hardly played for 3 years on top of it, good luck.

Dallas' lack of success is a lot less a function of Romo and much more a function of lack of talent, especially down roster. Once attrition sets in, the team's lack of depth shows up. When does lack of depth show up the most? December. Dallas has the stars to play with most anyone. Its the down roster lack of talent that shows up late and has repeatedly cost this team.

I'm not saying that Romo has been perfect. Far from it. But give credit where its due. He's a lot more responsible for the wins they've had than the losses they've experienced.

But regardless, the point that I was trying to make is that the guy has given it everything he's gotten. Played hurt. Acted with class. Led the team to more game winning drives than anyone. And all he does is get crap from people. Amazing.
