Ron Dayne if you got him! (1 Viewer)

Late season and Houston will see if the former "Poser" might be worthy of a back to steadily rush for 100 ea. week for 3 or 4 more years. Great possibilities. :pickle:

:D

:hifive:

:lmao:

:coffee:

No chance in hell he gets 130 and 2 TDs. Id say he probably gets around 70 yds rushing and maybe maybe 1 TD. Why do you think he will do better than Rudi Johnson last week?

Rudi's run blocking is horrible due to the injuries on the O-line and there's a good chance that the Texans will stick with the run no matter what the score is. Look at the NE game last week, they were getting killed the entire game and Dayne got nearly 20 carries for 90+ yards and a TD. Indy was at home in a nationally televised game and had been severely embaressed the week before. Everyone on the planet was talking about how horrible their run defense was and they were jacked up. I expect that Indy knows they can easily beat the Texans and won't bring their A+ game like they did vs. Cincy. I don't expect 130 and 2 but just because Rudi didn't tear them up doesn't mean that Dayne won't.

12 carries, 36 yards, no TD as Indy wins 45-10.
In his last 3 games he ran for 18-95 vs. Oak, 21-87-2 vs. Tenn and 18-94-1 vs NE. Indy is on a near record setting pace for the worst run defense ever giving up 173 yards/game (26 yards/game WORSE than the 31st run defense) and 5.4 ypc. I think the chances he has a good game are far greater than they are that he'd have a bad game.

Pluses and minuses to consider

Minus - Ron Dayne's ineffectiveness against Indy earlier in the year (37 yards rushing) is one of the reasons Lundy was moved into the first rb spot.

Plus - that first game was in Indy. This one is in Houston.

Plus - Kubiak said that Dayne has earned the starter spot and was injured when he played Indy.

Minus - Game was 14 - 0 early in the first quarter and Dayne had 11 rushing attempts.

Plus - Dayne still got carries in the NE game after it was a blowout. His TD came when Houston was down 27 -0.

Overall, I think that Dayne is a solid pick this week to get ~80 yards and a few possible goal line attempts.

:goodposting:SF offense also not finishing in the top ten and your Yankees suck. Been a long year.

Great call....

if I had listened I would have started him instead of getting sucked into the whole "Cedric Benson will explode" scenerio......

Hehe another ballsy call from someone here... Granted it IS the Indy defense we're talking about, but this IS Ron Dayne we're talking about...

Outstanding prediction and juevos grandes for even bringing it up.

A lot of interesting responses, too. :(

I started Dayne. If I hadn't, I'da prolly been screwed in my CG.

Last minute on Thursday my opponent replaced Ahman Green with Dayne. As a Giants homer I'm amazed that this guy has done what he has this year because he couln't get out of his own way in NY.

Good job to anyone who had the balls to start him in the playoffs/final.

I lucked into him this week. I wasn't sure what the Dolphins would do with Brown/Morris, so I put Dayne in. :hifive:

Nice call LongDrivethenFoozle

Just road Ron Dayne to a Total Scoring Championship.

In other news: Somewhere in hell, Hitler just got beaned with a snowball.

I think this is the greatest prediction I have ever seen in the Shark Pool. Very nice work. And you almost nailed the box score too. Ron F'n Dayne. This is why I love fantasy football. I'm sure in some league somewhere, the Ron Dayne owner beat the LT owner this week for the championship.

I have a huge lead so it looks like I will also be one of the Dayne over LT winners (picked up Dayne at 11:47 and started him for the noon game). May also have a chance at total points. Thank you fat### Badger Dayne!

And I dropped Dayne a few weeks back in an effort to bolster my roster for the playoff run. Who would've thunk it? Well I guess we know who but how?Nice call!

Started Dayne over Bush and received a much-needed extra 7 pts as I faced the Bulger owner... almost got laughed off the league message board on Saturday... now just need TO to lap Chambers tonight.

No chance Indy does anything in the playoffs... Bears either.

No one marked this down apparently.... since it came to fruition. Great call, OP!

I cut Dayne after DEN did and have been hating it the last few weeks.

Personally, I sort of like the guy. I wish him well going forward, and applaud all of the sharks that have started him the last couple of weeks.

Beat LT in the semis in my league, with Artose Pinner as his #2 RB :hophead:

this was the call of the year...mad props to the OP. I thought Dayne would have a nice game vs Indy's porrous run D...but 2 scores and 140 is downright nasty...Dayne was gold for week 16 Super Bowls...such as mine.

Benched Bush for Dayne with LT as my #1. Didn't need a #2 as I won by 41, but it's nice to pour it on!
