Ronald Curry, looking foward. (1 Viewer)

Sorry if this is a Honda but would like a bit of feedback.

In my dynasty league we are now moving on free agents. My W.R. crew is

in good shape but I have a open spot on my roster and was thinking of bidding on Curry.

He has had som injury concerns in the past but is he worth a roster spot? Prob. yes I believe, what do you's think

Looked for his name in the Players Spotlight list but he was not there...

Opinions appreciated Guys.

TKS.

Hes been productive when hes been on the field as a 3rd wr. I think he can be the best wr in Oakland, and is definitely worth a roster spot if you have room for him.

I am holding on to him, for the simple fact that he will be a starter in Oakland. Playing opposite Porter, he should have his best opportunity to prove what he can do, albeit on a lackluster offensive unit. If you have the room for him, hang on to Curry and see what transpires.

Josh McCown/JaMarcus Russell?

Next year?

WRs on roster as of today:

Jerry Porter, Ronald Curry, Doug Gabriel, Alvis Whitted, Mike Williams, Johnnie Morant, Johnny Lee Higgins, Jonathan Holland. Most likely they'll keep five or six. Curry looks like a good bet to stay and start if his achilles tendon holds up

Absolutely love the Donald and Porter as rock bottom buy low dynasty WR's.

McNown starts, you'll see #'s from one or both. You'll see drop off until Russell gets accustomed to the NFL game, then reap the rewards again.

I think the starters in 2008 come from Porter, Curry, & Higgins. Gabriel is a bit of a dark horse. Whitted is not up to snuff, but his wife is hotter than their cheerleaders, and he did start some games last year.

I just wanted some others' point of view on Ronald Curry.

He has been a long-standing sleeper of mine and I think he'd be worth something if he gets away from Jamarcus Russell.

That said, he just recently was demoted behind some guy I've never heard of and before that had lost his job to Drew Carter.

Prior to this year, I saw nice potential but he was constantly injured. When healthy, he seemed to make a nice positive contribution.

So the first thing is his contract that if he stays with Oakland and Russell, he has no value imo.

Contra Times October 3, 2008:

"Curry has been the Raiders' leading receiver each of the past two seasons and last year signed a five-year, $20 million extension that included $8.5 million guaranteed."

The second thing is his talent -

have I been wrong all these years?

or is the Oakland situation just disguising his talent?

My personal opinion is that he isn't that talented, but (before this season) made the most of his opportunities. Poor man's Hines Ward maybe. The situation in Oakland is obviously killing whatever little value he did hold. I guess he could see a resurgence somewhere, but I don't think he'll ever be a 1,000 yd type guy, more a low end fantasy bench guy in ppr leagues. Just my .02.
