Ronnie Brown... 12 Carries for 2 Yards? (1 Viewer)

Holy Ridiculous Stat Of The Week...

Ronnie Brown rushes for TWO yards on TWELVE carries, and is the Dolphins' leading rusher to boot.

I'm not quite sure how a team can rush for a grand total of -3 yards in a full game, but they did. I know Minnesota's Rush Defense is good, but they aren't THAT good.

Why not? They are the #1 run defense in football for a reason.

For some reason people have had a hard time grasping that Minnesota's rush defense is not to be trifled with. A bad groin doesn't help, but, unless you have LT or LJ, I'd sit just about any other RB against them.

Four words: Kevin and Pat Williams.

Remember, NE didnt even try to run on them. Brown's groin kept him from being able to bounce runs outside, meaning he was going into the black hole aka the williamseses.

Minny being #1 def has something to do with it, but I think the groin is a lot bigger part of the reason. They were in the whole game, and Ronnie rolled a hundo on the Bears, so he can run on good defenses. He was out of practice really all week. Sorta saw it coming, so I started MB3 :D

Oh trust me I know Minnesota's run D is just flat out sick, but -3 yards TOTAL? Fall forward 3 times and you break even.

i know a couple times he would catch a pitch and get dropped as he caught it(1 was for -6 i think). hell, they were almost pass interference calls. :lmao:

honestly-i saw the vikings do the exact same thing to the lions earlier in the year

the williams DTs are phenomenal players

so my question is-

How do the vikings lose when they give a teams leading rusher 2 yds?

And he fumbled once didn't he? I think he actually got me -1 point with the fumble factored in.

That's OK though. I had Lee Evans on the bench. That was a much harder kick to the ol' wedding tackle.

The Vikes run defense is stout, their pass defense isn't. Any coach with a brain would pass on them like New England did.

ETA: Also concerning today, the Vikes had dealt plenty with Harrington before and didn't believe he could beat them. They were probably wrong as Harrington played just well enough.

Yeah, I was laughing when I saw the stat line of 10 rushes for -2 yards. I see he was able to sneak into positive yardage at least!

Another funny one was during the game, at one point he had something like 6 rushes for -10 yards, and Harrington was "outrushing" him with 2 rushes and -5 yards. :lmao:

Dolphins pretty much went 5 wide for that whole first drive, and then somehow decided to go away from that as the game wore on.Minny's run D was sick.

So you're the dummy who made those calls on my team... :bag:

A: Four turnovers in the second half. Two returned for TDs. :bag:

I saw this at the same point and thought cbssportsline must be on the blink again, -15 rushing yards at one point? :bye:

Didn't see the game, just getting home, and have not had a chance to get to a TV to watch ESPN. Was Ronnie limited by his crotch, did the MIA O-Line melt, was MIN D just that good, or were the stars in perfect alignment combined with the proper dew point on Mars that created these awful numbers?

Brown wasn't healthy enough to play but he played regardless. Going against the #1 rush defense at 75% was a stupid idea, and he paid for it with what is likely to be a game performance that will lengthen his recovery time.Think Randy Moss and the hammy issue a few years back in Minnesota.

theres a big difference between ronnie running for 150ish on the 11th ranked bears rush d than the first place vikings rush d. the vikings run defence is serious.

as for their offence.... Johnson finally put up decent passing yards (for brad johnson - 26/44 262) but couldnt get in the endzone and had a pretty big int.

their offence is BRUTAL!

I was at the game, and a beautiful one it was. We just threw the ball pretty much every play to avoid the run D. it was really the only way to win that game.
