Ronnie Brown - Breakout week? (1 Viewer)

SKribbles

Is this the week were he finally puts a nice game together?

He has been saved so far by his receiving yardage (20/153/0) but with Culpepper on the bench for an undetermined length of time this could take a big hit. Harrington targetted him twice while with Cpep at the helm he had be averaging 5 targets over the first 4 games.

So now he sees the Jets who are giving up 4.4 ypc / 148.6 ypg / 11 tds. Does he finally break the 100 yard barrier this week?

Maybe. He couldn't do it against the Texans and Titans, though, so I'm not extremely hopeful.
Unfortunately, the Dolphins are in shambles. However, in leagues w/o PPR he's still a 10 FPs per game scorer due to combined yardage numbers. In PPR leagues, he's a solid start. In non-PPR leagues, finding the end zone will be key to Brown's continued fantasy success. Breakout rushing games don't look to be plentiuful for him. The team is REALLY in shambles.-signed, a disgruntled phin phan.

Hey Marc/Joffer/Phins fans, I've only managed to see parts of a couple of Phins games. What is the deal with their O-Line? It seems pretty bad right now. I was thinking they'd be a decent unit by midseason under Houck's influence back at the start of the season, but that looks unlikely as of now. Is that still possible or are they a total write off this year?

took brown at 4 spot and since he couldnt do it against tenn and hou i would say no. i think with harrington in it will take some pressure off him and d will be more honest so mabye some hope but overall its not what i bargained for.

Vilma can't do everything but I'll be darned if that guy doesn't try. Yeh Brown could do well, wouldn't be surprised if Vilma messes up your plans though.

Jets have moved the ball pretty well. Mangini seems to send Rhodes in and that guy makes plays. Fins gotta be worried about him sneaking in and getting to Harrington. I could easily see them failling behind and not running so much.

I just offered Ronnie Brown and Doug Gabriel for Tatum Bell and Reggie Williams.

I took the guy in every league. Paid $23 for him in my $100 auction league and took him #5 overall in my draft league. Now I'm trying to sell him for guys who might be underrated.

I already traded Ronnie in my auction league. Got Rudi and Rivers for Ronnie and Grossman.

I don't even know where to start. They have had injuries to the LG spot seemingly every week. The play calling in the run game is beyond atrocious (it's pure Mularky ;) ) The OL is getting blown back by any bull rushing middle DT - they are opening no holes, they are getting penalties, they are not playing cohesively - anything you can imagine bad about an OL, is what is happening with the Miami OL.I can't even talk about it, to be honest. I keep waiting for them to act like a unit since Hauck was a master last year. There is definitely TALENT onthe OL - enough talent that they shoudl be playing better. But they are either poorly coached or are not translating their coaching onto the field - they are making a TON of mental mistakes and are getting manhandled physically. My guess is that the 'phin's run scheme is easy to figure out (again, thank you Mr. Mularky), and the players are not being coached well enough to stand up physically. Add in their mental errors each game and their seeming inability to communicate with each other or play cohesively, and you have the single worst OL unit in the entire league. The OL hasn't played well for a single QUARTER of football. Hoping for them to put together a game is a real reach right now.My hope is they make significant adjustments over the bye week - I guarantee that Saban won't give them any days off.

So I'm trying to analyze how I was so off on my thoughts about the Dolphins' offensive line - was this something I should have seen coming back in preseason? Were the signs there and I missed them?

The only thing that comes to mind is that I did downplay the Mularkey affect even though Bills homers like Aaron R were warning about him.

Noe - no signs at all.But that was because of the vanilla defenses in the preseason.Once teams started game-planning for Mularkley's run play calls, something popped up. i am convinced it is AS MUCH Mularkey's run plays as it is the OL not playing well. I refuse to believe Hauck's coaching is to blame, or, if it is to blame, it is a small percentage of the blame. There is TALENT there, but they are being physically manhandled and they are making mental errors. They need something - and noone can put their finger on what it is yet.
