Ronnie Brown question? (1 Viewer)

I haven't had a chance to watch much of the Miami preseason games. What has been Sammy Morris's role? Is he purely a back-up, does he come in on 3rd down situations? Ultimately I'm trying to understand if Saban prefers to use two backs or will he give the majority of the load to Ronnie (in all situations)?

I can't imagine anyone will be doing anything other than spelling Brown when he needs a breather. The guy is a complete back with great hands. He should be in on all situations, else Saban needs his head examined.

Ronnie's a 3 down back. Will he come out on occassions? Sure, he has to. I'm not even sure Sammy Morris will be the backup by the middle of the year. (Rumors of them trading for a backup or plucking one off the wire after cuts).

I think if you're worried about Sammy Morris, you probably shouldn't be drafting Ronnie Brown. :2cents:

The one game I did see, Ronnie Brown came out during the goalline situation and Sammy Morris eventually scored the short TD. Not sure if this was the norm as Ronnie Brown was playing every down outside of that. I meant to come in here after seeing that and ask if Sammy Morris had been mentioned as a possible goalline RB.
