Just happened. Details coming.
Sounds like it's just one of those large inflatable bubble/tent-type facilities. Which I would imagine means nobody could have been hurt.Dallasnews.com says "The Bubble" has collapsed. What is that?

IRVING, Texas — An air-supported practice bubble that covers a practice at the Dallas Cowboys practice facility collapsed during a strong thunderstorm on Saturday.
There were no reports of injuries. An ambulance was seen arriving at the scene. Emergency medical technicians were seen entering portions of the bubble that were still standing.
Irving fire-rescue officials ordered all reporters and team personnel away from the immediate area.
Insofar as other Bubble facilities, it's usually just a light half dome over a playing surface which shelters the players and staff from inclement weather. They - as far as I know - are usually pretty sturdy.Hope everyone ends up ok.Sounds like it's just one of those large inflatable bubble/tent-type facilities. Something has to hold the thing up. It's not like a hot air balloon or something.Sounds like it's just one of those large inflatable bubble/tent-type facilities. Which I would imagine means nobody could have been hurt.Dallasnews.com says "The Bubble" has collapsed. What is that?![]()
58 injured

They even showed video right before it happened and everyone kind of stood there....4 support staff have been injured.Video personnel and the like.Dozens of ambulances and fire trucks.
Here in North Texas they have a combination of straight line winds and rotations- none made official yet....Wow Did I just see on rotoworld it was a tornado that hit it?
60 to 70 mph winds reported in areaHere in North Texas they have a combination of straight line winds and rotations- none made official yet....Wow Did I just see on rotoworld it was a tornado that hit it?
That's rotoworld for ya.No tornados reported, only high winds.Wow Did I just see on rotoworld it was a tornado that hit it?
We know to hunker down with the warnings- hard to believe they kept practicing....I worked in one of the video towers inside a couple of years ago. It is really just an aluminum framework. No wonder that it was support staff that was injured. There are a couple of video areas that are about 25 feet up.
I'm in Rockwall- we had some rotations just east of here a half an hour ago...That's rotoworld for ya.No tornados reported, only high winds.Wow Did I just see on rotoworld it was a tornado that hit it?
Touche.next time, straight to the Dallas newspaper sites. That's rotoworld for ya.No tornados reported, only high winds.Wow Did I just see on rotoworld it was a tornado that hit it?
I live here, and all coverage is 4 people injured... I just recieved a text from 103.3 ESPN that says 50 injured. No one else is reporting that, and it looks by all video to be only a few. Typical ESPN throwing out crap before confirming. They make it sound like they were actually counting body bags or somethingThat's rotoworld for ya.No tornados reported, only high winds.Wow Did I just see on rotoworld it was a tornado that hit it?

Ya, I saw that. Rockwall is a far cry from Valley Ranch though.Chris Hall from the personell dept. now another name being reported as injured.I'm in Rockwall- we had some rotations just east of here a half an hour ago...That's rotoworld for ya.No tornados reported, only high winds.Wow Did I just see on rotoworld it was a tornado that hit it?
Ain't that the truth. I've seen some pretty nasty weather down here. Nothing you want to take a chance with.We know to hunker down with the warnings- hard to believe they kept practicing....I worked in one of the video towers inside a couple of years ago. especially after the roof was repaired last spring at the facility.....Ain't that the truth. I've seen some pretty nasty weather down here. Wow.That's a cameraman for you - held the camera the whole time and rolling at that.Video from inside today as it was collapsing:

(by the way, they mention Cowboys spokesman Rich Dalrymple... I went to high school with Rich. His dad was my HS Phys Ed and baseball coach)
Seriously though...the video I have seen shows the lights swinging from the roof (metal supports and a tent)... I am booking it for the door if I'm there- yet everyone is just standing around...Couch Potato said:Anyone know the whereabouts of Ed Werder or Terrell Owens? This thing collapsed like Tony Romo in the 4th quarter. Maybe it wasn't just the wind.
