I am kind of amazed that Richardson is running away with this. In one league I have the 2 and 3 and I expect that it will be Richardson that drops to me. Why. TE get 1.5 and you start 3 WR, 1 Rb, 1 TE and 1 RB-TE. So you really only need 1 RB. Here`s hoping Blackmon drops to me but no one was more glad to see Richardson declare because I am happy with either.

Unless you have Rodgers, Stafford, Brees, or Brady, I'd go with Luck. Obviously this could change with their draft positions but Luck is much more certain to be a fantasy star than Richardson. There are fewer and fewer teams that are giving RBs 20 carries per game.

So if he ends up being one of those RBs who do get 20 carries per game (which many expect him to be), wouldn't that make him all the more valuable?

Since league rules/roster size/starters were not clarified I went with Richardson. I am just using my league rules of 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE.

That would make him very valuable. However, it's still a big "if" until he actually lands somewhere and starts racking up 20 carries per game. Even if that happens, his shelf life will be much shorter than Luck. It's certainly possible that Richardson will end up being worth more than Luck in a dynasty but it's not worth the risk of passing up a guy who is the highest rated QB prospect since Manning.

Blackmon is the next Calvin Johnson/AJ Green. I like Trent Richardson but I wouldnt pass on Blackmon for anyone in this draft in a PPR league.

Interesting how more and more frequently we are seeing the next "great player named x" come into the league every year.

Blackmon is not even as good of a prospect as Dez...lets slow down on the comparisons.
Nobody is the next Calvin Johnson. 6'5 235 4.3 speed. Blackmon is not even close to being a freak like that. Won't be any team triple covering Blackmon ever.

I agree...the Blackmon love is getting out of hand. IMO he is on the same level of prospect as Mike Crabtree. Uber-production in college, looks like he could be a nice NFL receiver.....but certainly nothing indicating he is the next Calvin/etc.

I like Blackmon better than Crabtree. He just looks more explosive on the field and plays with a nastier demeanor.

Def looks better than Crabby...Blackmon reminds me of T.O. or Marshall whereas Crabtree looked like a great college WR who could be a weak WR1/strong WR2 in the NFL. Blackmon has much more size, strength, and ability to break tackles.

Can we leave Calvin out of all WR discussions from now on? He's a freak and guys like him come along once a generation.
