I of course know about Chris Long but do u guys have any info on the other Rookie Defensive Ends???

Derrick Harvey - Hasn't signed yet? Think he has a bright fantasy future?

Lawrence Jackson updates?

Any other dudes I'm missing that might be ballers one day for dynasty league rookie draft???

Thanks much guys!

Lawrence Jackson and Quentin Groves look like the ends with the most immediate opportunity. Most rookie ends don't put up big all-around numbers anyway, so Derrick Harvey is still in the mix. Philip Merling and Calais Campbell are going to see a lot of snaps this season, but they've got the double whammy of making a rookie adjustment and playing in unfavorable schemes. Brian Johnston, Cliff Avril and Chris Ellis could have some upside down the line.

In the long term, I still think Long has the brightest future, with Harvey, Groves and now Jackson a half-tier behind. It's a bit of a tossup after that.

Marcus Howard belongs in this discussion, but generally, I'm not getting a good vibe for rookie DEs. Howard is as fast as Freeney and cut from the same mold. I think there's DEs available in many leagues that are better than these rookies.

Is Chris Long starting? Last I heard James Hall was way ahead of him.

I recently grabbed Lawrence Jackson in one league based on some good discussion/analysis in this thread. The positives I see are that he has great technique and is not just a raw athlete, he has a Pro Bowl DE across from him to take some attention, should put up some tackles as a good run stopper and - even if he doesn't beat out Tapp outright for obvious pass situations - it sounds like he'll move to undertackle where he could sneak some sacks. I think we saw last year what a guy like Tuck can do with two good pass rush specialists outside...

I know it was SF and they had 8 team sacks, but Lawrence Jackson had a big week 2 - 4 solo & 1 assist to go along with 2 sacks. From the Week 3 IDP Upgrade/Downgrade Report, Aaron Rudnicki says:

The rookie Jackson is deserving of another upgrade after his performance against the 49ers this week. He saw most of his time at RDE and finished with the same number of tackles as MLB Lofa Tatupu, while also adding a couple of sacks. The Seahawks pass rush was relentless as 6 different players combined for 8 total sacks.
