Rookie Draft - 2013 or 2014 picks? (1 Viewer)

Trading for future picks and wondering what class is better.

Of course this is an estimate and I don't need another QB as Griffin III was a 1st round pick this year.

RB and WR is where I'd concentrate.

Well, for WR Sammie Watkins looks better than anyone coming out next year, correct?

Other than that, I don't know.

It's difficult to gauge how successful the 2014 class will be because they were freshman last season, they haven't had a large chance to prove themselves.

If you had to ask me right now, I will say 2013.

2013 class:

QB-Matt Barkley, Tyler Wilson, Logan Thomas, Aaron Murray, Landry Jones, Tyler Bray, Tajh Boyd, Geno Smith

RB-Marcus Lattimore, Knile Davis, Montee Ball, Michael Dyer, Le'Veon Bell, Giovani Bernard, Ray Graham, Zac Stacy, Silas Redd

WR-Keenan Allen, Robert Woods, Marquess Wilson, Justin Hunter, Darick Rodgers, Kenny Stills, Cobi Hamilton, Tavon Austin, Stedman Bailey, Terrance Williams

TE-Tyler Eifert, Joseph Fauria

The 2013 class will be determined by one simple word...rehabilitation. Lots of the headliners are coming back from torn ACL's or broken bones. If they can come back to 100% or better, this class will be good. The unique thing about this class is the talent level of the big RB's. The first 5 RB's I listed are over 210 and some of them are over 230.

2014 class:

WR:Sammie Watkins, Marquis Lee

Isaiah Crowell would be on this list and then Georgia cut him.

2013 looks meh, but I might warm up on it as the season progresses and see what unknows emerge. 2012 IMO was the class to invest in. Strong

I've invested pretty hard in 2012 already. Griffin, Richardson, Doug Martin, David Wilson, Kendall Wright, and Ronnie Hillman are on my team.

So I'm looking to the future at this point. Thanks for the feedback and keep it coming!

as someone else pointed out, this class is banged up pretty good in college.

I'd gamble on 2014. 2013 looks pretty weak to me. There are always unexpected players who emerge though.

Will say all the injuries make me nervous for 2013. Was leaning towards 2014 but don't know enough about last years freshman class.

At this point is Keenan Allen the favorite for 1.1 next year?
He would be my pick right now, but I think a lot of people prefer Lattimore or Woods. I think Allen is a better prospect than Woods. However, I don't like him as much as last year's top players. I was higher on Blackmon and Richardson at this stage.

Great guys - Was thinking about trading David Wilson to free up cap space. Plus that would allow me to get Hillman to my PS.

So my thought was trade Wilson for a future 1st and 2nd round pick. Was trying to figure out a year to target as I've traded Shonn Greene for a 2014 1st round pick already.

Seeing how Wilson landed in NY it might be better to stand pat with no cap space for this year. My team is pretty deep........
