I have been noticing a lot of members in here talking about rookie drafts. Can somebody explain how they work for your league or a link that will allow me to see the format.

thanks

We have a 10 team pseudo-dynasty league. We roster 21 players during the year (we start 8: 1QB 2RB 3WR 1TE & 1K). During the season, you must keep 8 starters plus 8 reserves (same slots) + 5 at any position. Just before our "Rookie/Redraft" - usually in August, we have to trim our roster down to 16 (double our starting roster slots, so 2QB, 4RB, 6WR, 2TE and 2K). Our draft then proceeds in simple reverse order of playoff finish (for the 6 teams that made the playoffs) and week 13 records (for the 4 teams that didn't. So basically, the teams that missed the playoffs, all draft before the 6 that did - with the SB Champ drafting last. Of course, this order is maintained for 5 rounds, or until everyone is happy with their rosters (or, as happy as they can be given the rules)

This has actually been a lot of fun as there are usually some decent vets available - making the age old dynasty question present even during the draft "Do I go with potentional or proven?" It also makes for some interesting pre-draft and draft day trading.
