BEASON TO START:

Beason will start at weakside linebacker this week against the Patriots and that decision probably doesn’t have much to do with Na’il Diggs’ hamstring injury.

The Panthers are eager to get their first-round draft pick in the lineup. Instead of resting on his promotion, Beason said it’s time to step it up even more.

“I have to elevate my game more. There’s even more expected of me with them giving me this opportunity,” Beason said. “I think they see something they like. Now I just have to go out and perform and help my team win.”

I'm not rooting for an injury, but it would appear that that's James Anderson's route into the starting lineup.

Dan Morgan should not be on any football field. I mean, saving him so he doesnt get hit during preseason, he lasted what, two weeks last year??
