A lot of good rookie RB's in this year's draft. Through the first half on Sunday...

The Good

Reggie Bush

10 Rush 51 yds

3 Rec 17 yds

Lawrence Maroney

5 Rush 55 yds

Mike Bell

9 Rush 22 yds 1 TD

3 Rec 23 yds

Jerious Norwood

5 Rush 39 yds

Jerome Harrison

2 Rush 14 yds

The Bad

Wali Lundy

6 Rush 5 yds

The Nothing

Deangelo Williams

0 everything

Well Everyone except Lundy is looking pretty good so far from a fantasy standpoint. Guys like Norwood and Harrison are getting more touches than I expected at least.

I believe Maroney's key to taking over is to show he is the blocking back he's been advertised as being.

If he continues to run as he did today and gains confidence in doing the real RB work of protection (when the ball isn't handed to you - you still have a job to do) - he'll be the guy.

At least that's what I think as his owner... when I go to sleep at night.

The nice thing about the rookie RB's this year is that at the beginning of the season they are all part of RBBC. It seems that rookie RB's have more success at the end of the year when they start the season out as a RBBC.

Yeah, I was very unimpressed with Lundy today. He didn't look like he had much of a second gear. It looked like everything was one speed and didn't appear to make many moves. Living on the east coast, this is the first chance I had to watch him play but I was not impressed at all. Supposedly, Kubiak likes this type of running (no dancing just plow straight ahead through the hole) but it didn't look like he had a second gear to hit the hole. Just my opinion.

Yep, Lundy looked awful today. And I thought I was so smart snagging him in so many drafts.

I would say at this point that Addai, Maroney, and DeAngelo Williams may have more value than their veteran starters, despite a decent performance today by Rhodes and Foster.
