Roster Stashes for 2011? (1 Viewer)

good post . . .why will Seji be a starter next year???
Pretty sure Naanee, Floyd, VJax, and Buster Davis are all gone. Even if one of them stays it'll be tough to keep Seyi off the field unless he flops going forward. The way things are shaping up he just may be startable the rest of THIS year but we'll see.
thanks, and sorry it took so long to respond . . .why wouldn't the Chargers resign Floyd??

Good call on Bernard Scott! He was just dropped in my league and will scoop him up for next year... I always liked his game and thought he was more versatile than Benson... I can see him getting some starts this season down the stretch.

I am also very bullish on Sanders in PIT. I think he is the heir to Ward's starting job opposite Wallace. His skill set is more akin to a slot receiver, but he has shown a lot of raw ability this year.

I would like to figure out which one or two WRs to have in STL since I think Bradford will be a solid QB if he can stay healthy.

Only two I'd consider that are currently healthy are Alexander (high upside) and Amendola (long term slot future in STL IMO). I think Gibson/Robinson will slide down the pecking order (or be off roster altogether) when guys are healthy (Avery & Clayton) and/or high draft picks/free agents brought in.

Jericho Cotchery... Edwards and Holmes are both FAs after this yr and I highly doubt they can keep both, JC will be starting next to most likely Holmes next yr.
Cotchery was starting the entire time Santonio was out and did nothing. Why would he do something next year under the same circumstances?

Ben Tate. Rookie got hurt in pre-season. Yeah, he will be stuck behind Foster, but Slaton is probably gone after this year. Tate should be the RB2 in Houston next year. Foster has a history of injury from college and you can probably get Tate on the cheap cheap cheap now. Definitely worth a flier. Never know...could be a DWill/JStew set up in Houston next year....
Not sure I agree with this. IF he were one of the 'superior talent' RB prospects, maybe. But he's an average/above average prospect, now with a lost year and recovering from a major injury who, at best, will be a backup RB with zero chance of unseating Foster. I personally wouldn't waste my time or roster spot.

Victor Cruz was doing well before a minor injury and the Giants rush to IR him to gain a roster spot

wonder if they wish they hadn't done that now...

I will be very interested to see what the Titans do this offseason, if they let Scaife walk and dont bring in any vetran TE they are showing they have confidence in the young kid, after that its all on him to put it all together on Sunday. Same with the Texans, I wonder if they resign OD especially since his asking price should be pretty low. Im pretty confident Casey can carve out a role next year if Dreessen is the only competition.
Craig Stevens plays over Cook today, why wouldn't it be a sign they have trust in him?

EVERYONE has forgotten about toby gerhart. i will be trading my late 2nd round picks for him this off season.

mike hart. i have always been a big believer in brown. i still think brown wins the job next year, but hart could potentially win 40-50% of the carries in indy

was micheal clayton dropped in non IR leagues?

manningham, has a little value now but smith could be gone this off season.

aromashadu or bennet if martz leaves this season. doesn't look like hester is a wr2 for the long term

because he is a blocking TE, Scaife is viewed as the receiving TE, if they dont resign him or bring in a new receiving TE that means Cook is viewed as the man for the job..thats how I would see it anyway

What do you guys think about Kevin Smith? The Lions are getting better and Smith would be a full 2 years from his ACL tear. I am wondering if they think Jahvid Best can be a 20+ carry type of back. Looks like he is on a lot of waiver wires.

Travis beckum folks...guy has all the talent in the world and with the way eli goes to his main targets...i think he could be a stud for years to come...im a big wisconsin fan and he made crazy catch after crazy catch from his soph to senior year.

I couldn't disagree more. This team uses 21 personnel more than 12 personnel it seems to me with Ahmard Hall paving the way for CJ2K. Stevens started over Cook when Scaife went down and is listed ahead of him on their unofficial depth chart. How much of a role do you think we would see from the receiving TE? We talking Ben Troupe type upside?

I think M. Maasoqoi will be a great keeper in Cleveland if he stays helathy.
I concur. Massaquoi has flashed gamebreaking talent... all he needs is a competent, strong-armed QB determined to get him the ball. Next season could be his third-year breakout.
Problem is he can't catch, which is pretty important for a wr.
tell that to TO and braylon
:goodposting: Laughing at somebody bringing up TO when talking about MoMass

Jags TE Zach Miller. Lewis is not signed past this season.

Texans TE James Casey. Daniels is on a 1 year contract after his injury last year and not showing much.

Quarterback

Joe Webb, Minnesota: I am assuming many will keep him in larger dynasty leagues, but in shallower leagues, he could be available. Favre is done, and Tavaris Jackson is uninspiring. Anytime you can get your hands on a qb with wheels, it is worth a flier.

Josh Johnson, Tampa Bay: One of the better young backups, IMO. Johnson is a mobile qb who needs an opportunity.

Running Back

Steve Slaton, Texans: Pretty good chance he is cut by the Texan, and that will be the best thing for him. A year removed from his neck injury, Slaton is a very good runner and receiver, who fell into the doghouse due to a fumbling problem. With an opportunity, he can be extremely valuable.

Deji Karim, Jacksonville: Compact rookie has been impressive in spots. Could pass Rashad Jennings on the depth chart.

Danny Ware, Giants: With Brandon Jacobs likely moving on, Ware will be asked to step in to fill the void. He has produced when asked.

Wide Receiver

Andre Roberts, Cardinals: The transition from small college school to the NFL is a big leap, and it showed in camp. He has great raw skills, and has improved each game he has been in. Great target.

Seyi Ajirotutui, Chargers: Speed, opportunity, and elite qb. Sometimes thats all one needs to be fantasy relevent.

Tight End

Travis Beckham, Giants: Awesome receiver. All he needs is a starting gig to produce TE1 numbers. I am very high on him.

James Jones and Jared Cook are my 2 biggest investments (I have been holding both these guys for years) I also have Josh Morgan on a ton of teams and still believe if he breaks free and lands in a better siutation he will blossom.

So to recap:

James Jones

Jared Cook

Josh Morgan

And here are a couple of other to ponder:

Deon Butler (sucks he broke his leg as he was starting to show something)

Christopher Ivory ( PT looks like a goner and Reggie Bush..well he is Reggie Bush).

I liked your tip on Slaton and found him on the waiver wire. :goodposting: Slaton is going to be trade bait to improve the Texans D. Already had Danny Ware expecting him to be Bradshaw's handcuff. Jared Cook finished the year hot and added him as well.
