Coming off a bye with Millen gone, he comes out for a huge game? A stinker? I need some shark opinions.

Roy Williams against the Bears.

its seems Roy is Hurt

TheHuddle) The Detroit Free Press reports Detroit Lions WR Roy Williams (knee) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 2. Offensive coordinator Jim Colletto said Williams will play in the team's Week 5 game.

Analysis: Williams appears to be OK, so you should not worry about starting him at this point. The Bears have been susceptible to the pass at times this season, so Williams should be someone you can feel confident about having in your lineup.

I have to choose 2 of the following: PPR - RoyW, Steve Smith NYG, or S Young.

Right now I have S Young on the Bench, but That'll change

I'm faced with the same dilemma myself. I'm trying to decide if I want to start Bruce or Mason over him.

is it the last week to show him of for a potential trade? Might help.....starting him over Bruce and Housh.

considered teddy ginn... but gotta roll with Roy here... but that goes to show you my confidence level in the guy...

wtf - why would you NOT start Moore over him? Wms is averaging 3 catches/game and now their "best" QB is out and they play CHI. Oh yeah I'm all over that. Starting him and Holt w/o hesitation cuz I love them 6/7 pt games from players. Starting Bulger over Cutler too.

Yeah he'll probably have his moments this year, but I don't get people living in the past. DET is worse than ever and CJ is "the" WR now, it's not 1a and 1b.

PS: "Millen is gone" means nothing week to week. It's not like he was a coach.

Benching him..have better plus he is hurt.

Roy Williams was added to the Lions' injury report Friday with a knee injury. He did not practice.

I was just about to send out a trade offer including Roy, but think it's a week too early.

Roy is due and both Bear CB's are banged up and neither practiced on Thursday.

Vasher had surgery on his right hand is shouldn't be playing. Tillman is a GTD at best with a bad shoulder that forced him to sit out most of the 2nd half of Sunday Night's game.

If Tillman can play, he'll probably match up with Calvin leaving one of 2 second year players (McBride / Graham) to match up with Roy.

I'm going to hold thinking his value is going to go up, start him this week, and try to move him next week.

As of now I am starting him. Could change by game time. Both Bears starting cornerbacks could be out, and Kitna will probably start. If he does, I'm going with Roy.

As I said in a post here before I will be benching him ( of course this is due to him being hurt..that I have to follow up on by game time). I would love to play Roy this week 5 vs Chicago..Chicago has the 28th rated pass defense but 6th rated run...really if Roy can't go a great sleeper pick would be McDonald (great for those with a bye week fill in needed at WR)...but we don't know yet what will happen..not praticing on a Thursday after a bye week don't sound to good..we will see I guess.

Only problem with that post never said nothing about him being on the injury list or not practicing Thursday.Topic title is are you starting him this week..not about trading him now or in the future.

It's not Friday yet, but I'll do what I can about predicting the future in subsequent posting.

Depends on where you live..been Friday here last hour.

My point is, practice hasn't happened today yet, and the injury front has been covered plenty. Coach says he's playing, I'm counting on him playing. If he doesn't, adjust accordingly.

yes I agree..I said that follow up until game time.

And yes my bad,,I did use Friday instead of Thursday.

The future is now.

Roy Williams (knee, probable) returned to a full practice Friday and will start Sunday against the Bears.

Williams has a fine matchup against substitute RCB Corey Graham, who is filling in for Nate Vasher (thumb). Williams could also see increased targets if the Lions decide to showcase him for a trade before the Oct. 14 deadline.

Health beat: Starting cornerbacks Charles Tillman (shoulder) and Nate Vasher (wrist) were limited in practice Friday and listed as questionable on the injury report, but both said they expected to play against the Lions.
More surprised about the Vasher news, than Tillman's. Vasher had surgery on the wrist on Wednesday, and in the lineup on Sunday? Not sure that's going to happen.

With Palmer back I am tempted to start TJ Housh but I really think Detroit showcases him this week - I like Roy a lot!

ppr i have to choose 3 of the following....roy, welker, r white, branch, t gonzalez, s breaston...im leaning towards welker, r white, breaston...

There's going to be two sides of the coin here.

Side one: The box score looks good 7/96/0. His value is going to go up based on what that looks like on the surface. And even though there was a change a QB, he did get 60 of his 96 yards with Orlovsky at QB, so you can point that out to anyone you're trying to sell him to.

Side two: Anyone that watched this game wouldn't touch Roy with a ten foot pole. He looked flat out awful. Had at least 3 balls hit his hands that he didn't catch. He acted like a child most of the game; kicking at balls that were incomplete, pouting, not hustling. Now I don't watch a lot of Lions games, but I don't ever remember Roy acting like this.

If you can sell this guy, do it and now. It won't be easy, with the disaster the Lions have become, but his value is probably at it's highest right now as long as the buyer didn't watch the game.
