Roy Williams to Dallas (1 Viewer)

It has been pretty bad, is it going to get really, really bad? Enlighten me please!
In the days of old there was this thought that Detroit had a 1A and 1B receiver combo like what ARZ has with Fitz and Boldin. Now, there is just Calvin. Sure, defenses will be able to focus more on Calvin but Orlovsky gets an opportunity to develop rapport with his true #1 WR for the remainder of the year. I think there will be some growing pains but it's better for Calvin's value in the long run.I can see some big games ahead for CJ in the last 4 games of the season if they can gel without Roy. Furrey and McDonald are capable receivers that can make secondaries pay if they are forgotten.

It will be the Megatron show every down of every game. That could mean 20 targets/game and 8 catches/game.

I think it hurts his value. With Kitna down as well I don't think he'll come close to the soaring expectations of preseason. Decent #2 WR with some stinkers thrown in.

FYI-CBS is reporting this as a downgrade to Megatron due to increased coverage and Kitna going on IR.

Considering the accuracy of their analisys (check the Preview "Guru" to see what I mean) I'd say it's a upgrade.

An increase in targets seems logical but so does an increase in coverage? I don't know what to make of this but I do know we'll find out very soon how this all pans out.

Targets = catches = FF points Simple math

His targets will go out of this world. He will help many FF teams to the playoffs

One of the prevailing thoughts with Calvin is that he has all the talent and is a flat out beast, so if anyone should be able to offset heavy coverage by cashing in on a high amount of targets then it should be him. With a weak QB though, this might be a bit too much to ask.

I agree. If Kitna was still there I would say his value would be up. Remember, Orlovsky still has to throw the ball!

I just don't see how losing your starting quarterback and opposite receiver can increase someone's value. Would Fitzgerald's value soar if Warner and Boldin were lost for the season? Would Reggie Wayne's value skyrocket if Harrison and Manning were gone?

I hope you're right. I've been thinking about moving CJ but I don't think you can get close to face value for him right now. Nothing to do but sit and wait to see how this pans out.
