WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 11

The following players have been listed on the Detroit Lions' injury report: G Damien Woody (foot) is out and was placed on the Reserve/Injured list. DT Shaun Cody (toe), S Kenoy Kennedy (foot) and LB Alex Lewis (knee) are also out. T Rex Tucker (knee), RB Shawn Bryson (knee), T Barry Stokes (ankle) and WR Roy Williams (back) are probable.

Here's some info that I received from another service:

Lions WR Roy Williams has visited with team doctors and a chiropractor to see about his injured back. He left early last Sunday after Vikings FS Darren Sharper smacked him. It's been called a stinger though Roy said "I pulled it [my back] pretty good" on 1270 XYT Radio. "If we can get it to calm down we will be in good position. Right now it is stiff," he added. Sources tell us that Williams will be listed as doubtful and will have to work his way up from there.

From the official Lions website:

After suffering a back injury at Minnesota, it is unclear whether WR Roy Williams will play in Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills. He is currently listed as probable on the team injury report and missed at least a portion of Wednesday’s practice.

Another source Terry Forster states that its doubtful he will play (dated today) after he talked to Williams.

Anyone have any idea what this means?

Sources? Which sources? Which service is this? When was this report written? Williams will not be listed as doubtful, as he is now currently listed as probable, so I don't know how this is relevant, unless you can offer some information that's more credible than the actual injury report.

Yeap, the news sources other than the site are going by a report that quoted a DET coach or trainer saying "its questionable/doubtful if he'll get it ready for this week".

This turned into him being questionable/doubtful. Go by the site/official reports. He's probable.

It seems like sometimes, its better not to have people post the unverifiable "updates" than to have them post that information that only serves to muddles the situation.

It's time for Roy to step-up, play with alittle pain and be a leader...also, I need a 3rd WR this week! :nerd:

PLEASE GET BETTER, ROY!
