RUMOR: Briggs to Denver (1 Viewer)

They just signed Holdman. Not to compare Holdman to Briggs in terms of skill level (ironically the 'Skins were trying to trade for Briggs to replace Holdman - small world) but do the Broncos still have the roster space to acquire Briggs?

It's being reported now that Briggs to Washington is back on. And McIntosh still will not be included.

Personally, as a Jamar Williams owner, this is encouraging. He must have played well in the OTA for them to re-open talks and not consider McIntosh.

I can't imagine Holdman or Lewis have locks on roster spots. Lewis has always been a little underrated but he can't stay healthy. Holdman you know. He ain't holding up on the strong side. If the Broncos were serious about Briggs and can still get him, you have to think they'll find room.

Shanny is on fire, who knows it might be true. I expect him to pull some kind of bunny out of his hat still :goodposting:
Looks like Denver is trading draft picks with Houston and will take Willis - I think that squashs any ideas of Briggs to Denver.

It could end up this way, but I think it's more likely this is part of a larger move on draft day.

You could have a point here. It should be an interesting first round this year!

As a Broncos fan we are continually either impressed or annoyed by every single move made by this front office. One common denominator---RARELY is the person being spoken about in the draft or a trade the TRUE TARGET of Shanny's move. I'd love Willis but no way does this get out if that is indeed the player he covets. All that CJ talk smells of a smokescreen as well (another player that i'd love in blue and orange!).

Impresive, to say the least, if DEN can pull any of these "speculations on the nature of relativity" off. Last year's moves were pretty slick but this stuff we're batting around here is tough to believe.More power to um if any of this turns out to be true.

Sean Payton on a local radio station said don't be surprised if they move picks for current players. He did this with Holis Thomas and Jeff Faine last year.

Pure speculation, but at the end of last year he said he would make a strong run for signing Briggs. Getting a need at CB in David from the Colts might let him make a move.
