Rumor: NFL Network to Broadcast Late Season Games (1 Viewer)

BenMaller.com is reporting that the NFL will award its new late-season game package (probably Thursday and Saturday nights the last four weeks of the season) to …. itself. Or, more properly, to the NFL Network. If accurate, this is a very interesting development, with ramifications all over the place. For one, if your cable company doesn’t carry the NFL Network, it will. For another, it means that Comcast probably won’t form an all-sports network to challenge ESPN.I have been very impressed with the NFL Network since it launched, particularly in how it handles controversial issues. They’ve turned it up a notch during these playoffs, not hesitating to call out the league’s officials for botched calls. (HT: BenMaller.com, via Deadspin.com)

The only thing that I'd like to see happen on the NFL Network is to get Smith and TD out of there. Woodson and Linc are excellent but the other two have to go. They need to polish up on their speech, especially TD. Also they need to bring in some former defensive players.
