Rumor that appears to be false - Tom Brady (1 Viewer)

Notice the line dropped 3 points down to 3.5

Any intel on what happened to Brady?

*******

Joe's Note: Changed title. Keep an eye out for this but right now, the talk about this appears to be strictly a false rumor with nothing to back it up. He absolutely is not listed as questionable as was originally stated. As David Y said, there is no designation until Friday.

NE just wants to jump in on all the concussion fun. There's nothing wrong with Brady :kicksrock: (not rolling them at you personally)

I had to look at the original post to make sure that it wasn't 2007. And relating to his shoulder.

Surprised he isn't doubtful with an unknown heart ailment, considering he's a quitter.
So, this is what happens when fans get used to not getting their butt kicked week in and week out? I have seen it from the other side way too long. Hang in there, the season is not over yet.

Harsh ... Brady delivered three trophies for your team. Also, I don't think he pulled himself.
Don't confuse the team a person chooses to identify as the team he/she "Follows Closely" as someone who is a fan of that team. There are people that follow certain teams just to bash.Just sayin'

can we stick to the topic at hand...i.e. does brady have a legitimate or significant enough injury. i hate having to keep checking this thread only to read about disgruntled fans.

Where are you seeing him listed as questionable, Tat? I can't find anything on google, yahoo, sportsline, nfl.com, rotoworld or anywhere else. He also practiced fully on Wednesday.

Until Tat gives a link, I found this twitter blurb on bostonglobe.com about the Patriots practice:

Posted by Monique Walker, Globe Staff December 3, 2009 01:23 PM

FOXBOROUGH -- Running back Fred Taylor and defensive back Bret Lockett were the only players missing from the media portion of practice today, according to colleague Adam Kilgore.

Taylor was seen in the locker room earlier today but has yet to practice since having ankle surgery in October.

It doesn't say anything at all about Brady, but it says that all of the players practiced.

Only thing that makes sense if it's a non-football related head injury that just happened very recently (household slip-&-fall, minor car wreck w/airbag deployment, etc.).

EDIT: something football-related that would make sense -- if Brady had a mild, but "undiagnosed", concussion Monday night. If he held off on reporting symptoms until Wednesday a.m. (hoping Tuesday that they'd clear up on their own), this would appear to the betting public to have come out of nowhere. Meanwhile, Brady could/can still practice with mild symptoms, as Big Ben did last week.

...wife with a golf club. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Hey Guys,

Having a hard time confirming this. There are people talking about it twitter (specifically Johnny Detroit who was early with the Roethlisberger out stuff last week so there's credibility there) But all I'm getting is the normal practiced fully with his normal shoulder injury.

Could be bogus. Or could develop into something. Stay tuned.

Don't feed the troll. He hates the Patriots, but for some sad reason he is now pretending to be a fan of the team. Very odd. I've had him on ignore for years. :excited:
So I wasn't mis-remembering things. I find it funny that his avatar used ot be a Patriots logo on top of a body clutching its throat in a choking manner. Where is the ignore feature...?

He can't be listed as questionable until Friday. And he was listed as fully participated in practice today.

Unfortunately it's not an easy "one click" thing. I think uou have to pull down the dropdown of a person's name on a thread, and choose "View Profile", and then from there you an choose to "Ignore."

(from Rotoworld):

Tom Brady (shoulder) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.

Despite internet rumors that Brady is questionable for this week's game with a head injury, there's no reason to doubt that he's good to go for Miami Sunday.

I followed up with the guy who handles the updates to some of the sportsbooks. They "claim" they were told he will not play due to concussion like symptoms, BUT since it could be a rumor they are going with questionable. For betting purposes that warrants a warning to watch it in the event he does not play to adjust or pull the game down. By no means is it an OUT, but rather monitor news from the team and practices.
