Running a large (100+ teams) league.. (1 Viewer)

Not sure if this is the right forum, please move if it isn't.

I'm going to be running a huge 100+ team FF league this fall.. wondering if anyone has done anything like this in the past, has any tips, etc.

For software, myfantasyleague.com seems to be the best.. they offer a deluxe league you can separate into 'divisions', which treats them as their own league essentially (teams in Division B can draft players who were drafted in Division A, etc). I haven't used them before, coming from fanball and CBS prior to that, so if anyone has run a deluxe league in particular, I'd love some feedback.

How would you suggest running the playoffs? Assume 10 divisions of 10 teams each.. 12 week regular season, top 10 division makers make it, 6 wild cards? At this point you'll hit the situation with players on Division Winner A's squad also being on Division Winner B's squad, but that's pretty much inevitable.

Any advice much appreciated. Thanks!

commissioner@phenomsff.com shoot Mike a email he has been running Phenom for a few years he may be able to help.

I'll be running a 50 person league on MFL this year. 5- ten team divisions, top 4 players from each division in playoffs. Playoffs are like WCOFF; total points from the 3-4 playoff games you choose to have. Last year I ran a 40 team and MFL made it very smooth...

interesting not going H2H put doing total points for the playoffs.. i dig it. thanks!

With 100 owners, I'd suggest having a rules or constitution counsel/committee to vote on things if need be. The No Mercy leagues (96+ members) that started on the old FBGs forum has Governors to oversee the rules and vote on issues if necessary. They are a huge part to the success of the league, and anyone who is in No Mercy would agree.
