Running up the score (1 Viewer)

Ok so it's week one of the fantasy football season and the guy I'm playing is up 10 points on me and all my guys are done playing. He's won the game. The polite thing to do would be to pull your starters out, right? This jerk ends up running the score up another 27 points to win by 37 :lmao:  . There is no need to run the score up we play head to head and total points don't matter one bit.

If someone did this in your league what would you do. How do you feel about running up the score?

I say run up the score every week if you can.

It's fantasy football, not a prison squash game.

In my head to head league, points can be a tie breaker for a playoff spot and your position in the playoffs, could mean a 1st round bye.

If it bothers you, stop this hobby and take up T-ball.

If I play a weak enough team, I'll spot them a kicker or even a tight end. It's condescending to wait until you get the win to bench your players.

I thought this thread was about real NFL teams running up the score lol

Dude I take pride in starting the most productive line up each week, and get pretty pissed when I don't.

Btw I'm sure total points is a tiebreaker for playoffs or waivers in your league in someway.

This has been my major pet peeve since I started FF back in 1998.

Where is the sportsmanship? Where is the mutual respect? I would never petition my opponent to go easy on me once it is clear that their team was the victory locked up; my own sense of pride will not allow this. But be assured that as soon as I know that my squad has won, I call off the dogs. Why just yesterday (with a week 1 victory already in the bag), Gates and Greene got calls from me telling them to hit the bench and save it for next week. They didn't like to hear this as they are true competitors, but I call the shots for my squad. No one else.

Face it people, this is also in the best interest of YOUR own team as well! Why run the risk of getting one of your guys hurt once the win is already secured?

So do yourself, your opponent and your league a big favor ... Pull any remaining starters once you are sure that the win is in! This will, in the long run, win you so much more respect and admiration.

Kick them in the nuts, and spit in there face when they are down.

This guy gets it. Plus you need your bench players to get some game reps for playoff time

We have solved this in our league as we no longer keep score. No one ever has to face the shame of losing and at the end of the season we have an ice cream social.

Beat my opponent 103.90 to 56.93 and proud of it. I enjoy ### kickings like this. If my oponent doesn't like it he better make a few transactions to make sure I don't beat him worse the next time we play each other. It could have been much worse. I had welker on my bench and kolb was my starting qb.

I totally agree with posty - I mean having Indy kick onsides just to get more points for his guys was a totally bogus move

and i bet you guys have "take backs" and "do overs" when guys make horrible draft picks instead seizing the opportunity of rippin them a new one.
