Ok, most teams have played 4 games and about now you start to learn the teams that have really improved and the ones that have fallen off. Since the sample size is still small you also have to try and discern whether they've just had a tough/easy schedule or whether the teams have truly improved/fallen off. This is where the sharks differentiate themselves and swinging a trade for a guy that has an easy schedule down the stretch can win you your league (i.e. Grant last year).
Since there are a bunch of homers that follow the situations closer than I and I'd like to get some feedback as to which situations are FACT and which are FICTION. Here's my take.....
On the bad side we have...
-Indy (-16 from last year, 31st o/all) - FACT as long as Sanders is out
-NE (-15/25th o/all) - FACT they've faced the Jets, Miami and KC. Brady's injury kills their Off and Def.
-GB (-12/26th o/all) - FICTION they've faced Minn/Dall to start and they should get better
-Dallas (-10/16th o/all) - FICTION they're still ranked 16th and should get better as the year goes on
-Rams (-9/29th o/all) - FACT they're awful
-Lions (-9/32nd o/all) - FACT they're worse
On the good side we have....
-Jets (+24/5th o/all) - FICTION - I think they've improved quite a bit by their offseason additions but I don't see them as a top 5 run D.
-Fins (+22/10th o/all) - FICTION - they've improved but they've only played 3 games (NE, Jets, AZ), none of which are good running teams
-Bears (+18/6th o/all) - FACT - the Bears are back..
-Raiders (+13/18th o/all) - FACT - I think they're being overlooked and have a solid D.
-Bills (+8/17th o/all) - FACT
