Ryan Fitzpatrick released (1 Viewer)

They've got to take or trade for a QB with that #8 pick. They can't possibly roll with Tarvaris Jackson as their starter.
Wish they would. Punt on this season to insure a shot at a couple of super great QB prospects next year.
Do they really need to punt? They can try their hardest and still have a great look at a super great QB next year. And for everyone mocking the Amish Rifle.....screw you.

Pretty much guarantees QB at #8. T-Joke is not an NFL QB and thus, not an option. It also puts a lot of pressure on Spiller with at best a marginal rookie QB as the starter. This team is lucky that the Jets are just as bad, otherwise they are solidly in the drivers seat for the 2014 #1 pick.

And...The move comes with a $10 million-plus cap hit.
The Bills made him a post July 1 designation which means a $3M hit this year and $7M hit next year.Sort of surprising that they didn't swallow the bitter pill and free up all the money for next year. Also, my buddy said there are rumors they signed Colt McCoy.So there's that.

The team with the 1.01 will be lucky next year. Clowney baby.

I mean, I'd rather them take a guy like Jarvis Jones, Mingo or Jordan than even address the QB situation this year.

Not at all. They have plenty of holes to fill, no reason to reach for a QB if there isn't one they really like. There are plenty of veteran QBs out there they could sign and have the same sub-.500 record that they would have had with Fitzpatrick.

No way Buf rolls with Jackson. Tall tale sign the coach is gonna draft his own. Nassib smokescreen to get to Clowney. Clowney opposite Williams?! Wow

Me too, cut Tebow and give Sanchez some competiton
if they sign him then Fitz would IMO be the starter. he's better than Sanchez
Both are terrible QBs that can't win games in the NFL without massive support. Why would the Jets waste any money signing a QB that isn't going to make them any better? I'd rather them stick with David Garrard, who at least has been a playoff caliber QB (although I have my doubts he can stay healthy at 35).

Ok, fixed. Why would the Jets waste any money MORE signing ANOTHER QB that isn't going to make them any better?

At least at the jets and cardinals he is better than their current option

maybe the jags..

maybe the raiders...

For those saying the Cardinals, sure he is better than the dreck they have but he really doesn't fit into Arian's offense. Fitzpatrick has a weak arm and bad downfield accuracy. How is he a good fit for a downfield passing attack?

maybe he is not a good fitbut as you pointed out, still better than what they have. If given the choice of their current crew throwing downfield or Fitz and adjusting the offense I'd choose fitz

I don't want to turn this into a Jets thread but the move to sign Garrard with Sanchez there too makes me think they would prefer to draft a QB and hope they can find something instead of continuing to invest in NFL discards. Fitzpatrick might be better than some of their trash but is just a little better trash. I think they make a strong push to draft a QB.
