This guy is the starting MLB in a 4-3 formation. He puts up ok stats every week - nothing exceptional, but he doesn't get shut out either. Is he just an injury-type fill in who'll be replaced in the draft with with a FA, or is he a young guy learning the position who'll grow into in?

Would also appreciate any comments on Chris Gocong on PHI or Robert Thomas on OAK. Gocong's another young guy whose prospects I'm trying to handicap. Thomas, a former 1st rounder...has he finally gotten it? Or will he fade back into the shadows soon?

Fowler has never been anything special. It may be that he'll grow into the position, but he'll still have to contend with not playing in the nickel packages and fighting two very good OLBs for tackles.

Both of these guys are SLBs are subject to the volatility that goes along with the position. Especially so since neither are proving (Gocong) or have been (Thomas) to be big time coverage or pass rush threats. Neither are long term IDP starting prospects for now.
