Whatttt???? Brandon Jackson is clerly the number 1 back in GB now?

Grrr, I dealt Brandon Jackson as filler in a larger trade just before Sunday kickoff. Bummer.

But I wouldn't sleep on John Kuhn, especially in the short term as a TD vulture with a few carries sprinkled in. Brandon Jackson has good every-down skills but he has had trouble staying healthy in the past.

I'm sure the Packers will be adding at least one body to the roster soon.

The real winner here? Probably Aaron Rodgers and Jermichael Finley.

FWP is available...
True but Buffalo is going nowhere fast, they have to try and make a trade for whatever they can get. Lynch for a 4th or a 3rd...the Packers have to shore up the RB spot, I cannot picture Jackson holding that position down all year. Lynch with all that talent around him would be an interesting situation. He's not the brightest of bulbs but I'm sure they can make a trade. Any impact on the passing game?

I don't even know if you should bump up the receivers. It just seems like the passing game will take a hit also.
Exactly, you cannot be 1 dimensional and have succes in the NFL...I guess Rodgers will still be effective but with no running threat it definitely takes away some passing lanes. Most teams can now just sit 5 or 6 in the box and drop everyone back.

:lmao: McCarthy now has his excuse to stop paying lip-service to the running game. He'll use Kuhn to run clock when they get a lead, otherwise its going to be the Rodgers and friends airshow at Lambeau this weekend.

Until we see that Jackson can actually be an effective runner I think you have to say this will hurt the passing game. Teams will focus even more now on stopping the pass and force Jackson to beat them. Grant kept defenses honest enough to open up a passing attack (that admittedly doesn't need much help), without that, I see this is a bump down for Rodgers, Finley and company.

"No running threat?" Brandon Jackson really isn't that bad. (It's not like Ryan Grant was a world-beater anyway).

Lynch would be interesting...but zero chance that happens this week given they are playing against Buffalo.

I predict Pats will trade Maroney to GB when his groin is better. He'll be cheaper than Lynch.

I'd love to see somebody added. This will be reminiscent of when Ryan Grant ascended. He was a dark horse and I don't think Jackson has the juice to be anything more than a change of pace.

WHOA!!

I had a gut feeling to pick up BJackson last week because he's the ONLY back there really.....and they were touting him as an every down back capable of being featured....

wish I had listened to my intuition - no chance of getting him now....

I posted this in another thread and I'm sorry to be redundant but I'm in desperate straits and could really use some advice from the Pool. It's our first year using blind bids for FA's (10 teamer). B. Jackson is on the WW and I've just lost Grant, who was my RB#2 behind CJ. I've got some servicable RB's still on my roster (roster in my sig) but no one I'm comfortable rolling thru the season with. Given that my season is seamingly hanging in the balance, what would you suggest that I bid on Jackson? We use $200 cap and I'm currently at $186. Should I blow $150 or more to insure I get him? No one else in my league has used blind bidding before either - most of the other owners have their full $200 remaining. TIA. Sheesh...and Grant was supposed to be a safe pick...

Bid $184 for him and cross your fingers.

Haven't the Colts and Patriots been flourishing without a serious running threat for years?Jackson isn't just a filler, he has talent.....and he'll become really good if they teams decide to drop 6 into coverage. I doubt teams would respect the run any less with Jackson in there than they would Grant. The Pack will have to add depth now though. This could end up being Jackson's big chance. A post-hype fantasy gold nugget. He didn't create a lot of hype initially of course, but everyone did believe he would become starter when he was drafted.

This sucks because the owner of Caddy offered me Jackson to back-up Grant on my team, and he wanted Huggins for his backup (two weeks ago). Can't get him to make that trade now.

That is funny because I am putting a claim in for Jackson and dropping Huggins.

Damn. I wish this news would have came tomorrow morning instead of today. I am 9th in waiver priority, so it was a long shot to get him regardless, but now it's definitely impossible.
