Ryan Mathews value this year (1 Viewer)

Anyone expecting Ryan to ever get on track this year? With Tolbert stealing TD's and the news RM won't play this week I'm thinking about dropping him for a better back up RB like Portis or McGahee as a just in case move. The one league I have him in closes the Waiver Wire tomorrow for the rest of the year. And I feel like he's taking up space.

Would that be stupid to do or do you agree that it's impossible to start the guy with any confidence after the bust of a year he's had? In my opinion this guy has to be the 2010 bust of the fantasy year right? I can't think of anyone else drafted so high (time of my draft his ADP was the second round) who did so poorly after being hyped like he was the next LT2.

So what's your gut feeling here? You holding, buying, or selling? Thank you everyone who replies

Holding because i drafted him as my # 1 pick (A.Johnson was my franchised player) so with any and all decent RB`s gone off the WW i have no choice...and im hoping he was just the victim of a bad rookie year with too much pressure on him to succeed right out of the gate...i will monitor him this off season and decide whether or not to franchise him next season.

I think he is a solid RB3 when healthy, with the chance to be a RB2 if all the stars align. I really don't like how sparingly SD uses him, and that he loses GL carries. So really a RB3 type to me, comparable to Lynch (in terms of likelihood of production, not in usage - Lynch is obviously a better bet for the GL on the occasions Seattle makes it there).

He's not playing this week?
Since your question was already answered, nice new avatar, Doc. :boxing:
Thank you good sir.To answer the question whether he's a buy low...I'd say no in redrafts. Not unless it costs you something like a Donald Driver. He's sharing the load (what little of it there is), constantly fumbling and banged up...and doesn't get goal line work. Even if you had him would you be comfortable starting him?In dynasty leagues, absolutely.
