Ryan Theriot (1 Viewer)

I've been this [--] close to picking him up in multiple leagues ever since the beginning of the season, but couldn't justify it. DeRosa is a disaster, so I figured it was only a matter of time. Now, with Aramis down, he should see more PT in the coming days/weeks. Might be worth a look for those of you needing help at MI. He'll provide SB without killing your AVG/OBP, although he won't provide much in the power cats.

The Riot had a great spring, and I get the feeling Pinella likes him. I'm watching him, but I don't think he's pickup worthy yet unless you're in a big league. Pinella will keep getting him into the game, but I don't see him getting regular starts until midseason.

he's got 3 SBs in 2 weeks. if you have a weakness in speed, and you have a player who isn't much more than average, i'd pick up theriot and hope he can just steal a base a week.

If you have not picked him up yet, it might be time to take a chance.Following todays game Pinella said he will be the new shortstop.Weather his defense is good enough to keep him there remains to be seen.At least he's getting the opportunity and will get plenty of AB's batting in the two hole.

In Yahoo, which requires 5 games in season or rollover from last season for position eligbility, he only qualifies at 2b right now. But he should roll over to short soon, and he's only a game or two away at 3B and LF/OF. He might be like a Figgins with less pop, super-sub with super speed, not a bad waiver gamble, even if he's only playing 5 games a week for now.
