Ryan Williams - Serious Injury Tonight (1 Viewer)

Defender fell on leg. He was falling forward. Looked like classic ACL injury.

his first carry of game. Brought out cart. Head in hands. Being consoled by teammates. Bad bad news.

 
Damn...if it IS a serious ACL injury, what does that do to Beanie's value? He was already slated as the starter, but many thought that with time Williams would usurp the role.

it's huge..they don't have much behind him with Hightower in Wash. The Beanie show.
 
Hardesty & Ben Tate last year, LeShoure & Williams this one. Lots of owners burned by their 4-5-6 overall rookie picks the last 2 years. (Thought the former duo had a lot more promise than the former two)

lol noFree agent Clinton Portis reportedly showed up "incredibly out of shape" to his Friday workout with the Patriots.Portis reportedly shed 25 pounds in two weeks leading up to the workout, so it sounds like he's been sitting on the couch all weekend. He "wasn't fit at all," according to the Boston Globe. Portis won't be signing anywhere soon.
 
Jesus Christ. 2 years, and 4 mid first round running backs lost. Hoping this isn't serious, grabbed him in the mid rounds in a lot of redraft leagues.

 
I don't think it was his ACL, seemed more like ankle or foot the way the defender fell on it. Might have broken it...

 
Cardinals RB Ryan Williams was carted off the field with an ankle injury in Friday’s preseason tilt with Green Bay. Williams had tears in his eyes as he was taken off the field, an indication of the severity of his injury. We’ll likely know more after x-ray results are revealed after the game. If he misses substantial time, Beanie Wells’ fantasy value will skyrocket. Stay tuned.

before we go calling it an acl. it might be an ankle, which obviously isn't good, but no where near as bad.

 
LaRod Stephens-Howling might get some touches this year now - I am week 3 out from ACL surgery, I feel sorry for anyone who blows their ACL, its a long recovery

I hear ya, buddy. I've had 3 of them already, and had an "event" two nights ago. So right now I'm just hoping it's not #4...
 
Made a trade in my league JUST after it happened.

Sam Bradford + Ryan Williams for Cam Newton + Robert Meachem. The other guy was practically jumping for joy on the other side of the phone.

Yes, I am the most devious fantasy player you'll ever meet.

Not to highjack...but that is a hilarious trade, especially in dynasty. Most would take Bradford over Cam and Meachum EASILY.
 
Whoops got it reversed. I ended up with Bradford and gave away newton.

After getting screwed with the Ben Tate situation last year I just didn't feel like taking it lying down again.

And it's not a dynasty league.

Bad sportsmanship, horrible trade *anyway* even if Williams is done for the year, and AWESOME user name for someone who seems to know little about fantasy football and Jesus.

Nothing wrong with taking Bradford and Williams after you inform the other guy that his RB may be done. However, you'll take a beating anyway. You drafted Scam. How smart can ya be?
