Saban: Vick a "Natural" at Wide Receiver

May 25, 2006

[sun-Sentinel] With Daunte Culpepper, Joey Harrington and an improving Cleo Lemon expected to be his three quarterbacks on the final 53-man roster, head coach Nick Saban said that it's too early to determine what position rookie free agent Marcus Vick will play, but that he was a "natural" at wide receiver.

"We might put him at quarterback and put him in to run some gun runs," Saban said of the former, and oft-troubled, Virginia Tech quarterback. "We might play him at wide receiver, might make him a punt returner. He said he played safety in high school."

Vick is listed as a quarterback/wide receiver/special teamer on the Dolphins official roster.

Can't imagine him playing anywhere but the slot with his lack of height.Wouldn't be far-fetched to suggest he could be a Az Hakim/Randle El type.

Marcus Vick is 6'0.

Someone should tell the Giants, they just drafted a 5'8 guy!
