i think they are frustrated with Greer and his injuries. Smith is not a OLB and wouldn't be good in a 3-4DE role. Harper is solid rushing the QB but has zero coverage skills. I find it hard to believe that Vilam would accept being a backup and he's not been healthy in a long time.
Personally, I think Ryan knows what he wants and these guys just don't fit for one reason or another.

i thought they would keep Vilma, time for him to take his job in the NFLPA and make that Union mean something again.

People in deep IDP leagues or heavy DL leagues should be able to get Smith cheap. He may only be a bye week filler but you could do worse at DL.
