There are 5 positives that I see about this game and 1 negative (although I Know there is more.)

Negative

1. We let them off the hook, and lost the game.

Positives:

1. Atlanta lost and we are still in sole posession of 1st in the south

2. No key injuries

3.Hung in there with defending SB champs without some key players

4.They never gave up

5.Tampa Bay and Carolina will cancel each other out tommorrow.

Just trying to look at it that way, because I am sick to my stomach right now.

One more positive

6. They now know for certain, that they need to move Henderson up to #2 with Horn out & bench the Copper kid.

actually that is a big nagative ... leave STONE HANDS aka HENDERSON ON THE BENCH >> he had his 1 week of fame .. we dont need to see him anymore ( and before you say i dont know what i am talking about LSU alum and Saints homer )

I've said all along, that I feel anything this year is a bonus. Next with, with a new CB/MLB, Saints are a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

But do the Saints think the Steelers are who they though they were?:dennygreen:

You sure about that?Did you miss Copper dropping the ball on that last minute drive by the Saints?Did you miss that when Copper did catch it on that drive, he promptly fumbled it away, ending the Saints chances? But you'd still rather have him in there than Henderson?

With all due respect, they were who the saints thought they were till those 2 70+runs by Parker, but thats why they play the game

... & bench the Copper kid.
I thought Copper played a great game right up until the final drive. I remember thinking he was doing a great job getting open, making catches, and yards after catches. The miscues on the last drive were unfortunate, but I certainly wouldn't bench him for that.

I'd think you'd want the better play maker on the field the majority of the time & from what I've seen, that's Henderson, not Copper. But others have alluded to Henderson's hands being suspect & obviously I'm not at all the off sesaon activities or in season practices, so what do I know.

I don't get the Saints, Henderson shown last week that he has great seperation speed with two long catches for TDs, and this week he sits the bench for the A. Brooks of WRs. I say A. Brooks because when he messes up he just smiles like it's funny. Henderson does drop a few, but he is getting better every week he plays going back to the Atlanta game. Why take him out while he is hot.

Coulda sworn Henderson was hampered a little going into the Steelers game ... obviously he dressed, but I don't think he was 100% at all.

I know he missed a couple of games before the TB game, but I have not heard anythig since last week, and he did play in the game last night.

7. Drew Brees is one of the top 5 QBs in the NFL
I will second that. I am a huge Steeler fan and was at the game yesterday, and I will say this...Brees never got rattled, and kept his poise at all times. I only saw one bad pass, which Foote should have intercepted. But, other than that, his throws were very accurate. He could have easily threw for 450+ if the wrs would have hung onto the ball.

Yeah and now you know what it's like for us Steeler fans watching our team move the ball up and down the field all year only to lose thanks to untimely turnovers.

I was very impressed with the Saints O yesterday. The Steelers had no answer for Brees or Colston. Brees was on the money with nearly every throw. The Saints O-line did a nice job protecting Brees too. I also thought Reggie Bush looked better than what I'd seen on TV. He does dance but for the most part gained positive yardage on every touch. I do think the Saints ought to use him more as a WR downfield.

no they are not
We're much better than you thought, huh?
nope a 5 or 6 win team is where i thought they would be
You may be right but I'm willing to bet you didn't put any money on that before the season started.

Yeah ... he dressed and played, but I doubt he was 100%. Plus, the original injury might have gotten tweaked a bit during the action at some point.

For the first time I also saw Colston drop a couple of catchable balls deep into the game. He should of had that cross pattern where the Ref got in the way.
