I am looking to start a salary cap league, and I need help with coming up with rules. I did a search so if there is a thread discussing this already please point me in that direction. What is the best way to conduct leagues like this? I have a few ideas, but how do these leagues usally handle contract lengths, salary increases, and a waiver system? I have read rules from a few leagues. It seems that in the few I have seen owners have an option of 1-3 year contracts for their players, and the players contract increases by X% after each season. I am a little unsure of what to do about the waivers and rookie draft. If anybody has any rules they like for salary cap leagues, or has a set of rules that they would like to share that would be great. Thanks.
