Santana Moss (1 Viewer)

Is it time to sell Santana Moss? Obviously his TD numbers will not continue at the same pace, but has the WAS offense turned the corner, or is this just a blip on the radar vs. sub-par competition?

If you are trying to deal him (or acquire) what kind of deals are going down?

What about long-term (dynasty) value?

I wouldn't do that if I were you.

I sold Philip Rivers and Santana Moss "high" for Peyton Manning after week 1.

enough said.

The 2008 Moss is a lot closer to the 2005 Moss than he is to the 2006-07 Moss. Seller beware.

You guys are that sold on his staying power? I guess I am still bitter from his 16 week goose egg last year.

The thing to always watch with Moss is injuries, especially hammy and groin type injuries. He's not been healthy since 2005 . . . until now.The other thing is that Campbell and Moss have clicked in this new offense a LOT faster than I thought they would, and Zorn has Moss running all kinds of routes, everything from WR screens to slants and deep posts. Everything. I didn't predict Moss was going to produce like this, but I can tell you that he's every bit as talented as his numbers would suggest when he's healthy, so it's not an illusion.

I tried to get Aaron Rodgers for him - not because I think Moss has played over his head the last three weeks but because I am in need of a QB with Ossullivan as my starter. No dice the other owner has Brees and is in desperate need of a WR. He came back with Kevin Smiith and Rodgers for Moss and B Jacobs. I guess I will be holding, not dissapointed about it either. I think Zorn and the WCO is good for him.

:lmao: might finish within the WR top 5, certainly within the WR top 10 if he continues at this pace..they're moving the ball well and he has a shot to post some very good numbers this season..rule of thumb is the '3 week rule' with a player right? he's performed well 3 weeks in a row now, thats a trend, and its likely to continue. :lmao:

 It's not just that Moss has had a good start to this season. Going back to last season, including the playoff game, he has scored in 6 straight games. Moss has admitted that he didn't have chemistry with Campbell last year and that it was his own fault. He has said he has worked on that this year and it's really showing.

I might at least wait until WAS finishes their 3 game stretch with STL (week 6), CLE (7), and DET (8).

and even then, I'm not sure that Santana Moss is a sell at all this year unless he gets tweaked.

And Moss easily would've had a TD if Campbell puts a bit more air under that deep throw instead of making Santana wait on it and get caught from behind after he caught it.

Tough to critisize those numbers imo.

Campbell moved up and threw on the run, deciding it was more important to release the ball early when Moss was open than it was to release it on a rope, by which time Moss would be covered. I can't criticize the decision even though I know Campbell is athletic enough to throw it harder and probably would want another crack at that. Anyway, yeah, (a healthy) Moss is a stud.

It's probably more effective putting him in your starting lineup than trading him. If he's not hurt he'll produce all year. He's the #1 target in a passing offense and is hard to cover when healthy.

If you need a RB this is a good time to move Moss--he always gets injured and if you have him in dynasty let's not forget that WA drafted a couple of pretty good young WRs this season.

To those who want to project how he will be top 5: that's why this is the time to sell him. The odds that he continues at this pace without an injury slowing him down are slim yet most people will make the same projections you make and will overpay for him if you deal him now.
