need to add another to that list Sydney Rice out of South Carolina. I've seen both Rice and Johnson, hard to make a choice.Next year, Dwayne Jarrett, Ted Ginn and Calvin Johnson could [and likely will] come out and have equal [or in Jarrett's case], better chance of being the first WR off the board.
Physically they are similarSimilar prospect to Mark Clayton. I really like him, think he is the better NFL prospect than Ginn. Is known as a big play receiver, which he is, but I think he runs very good routes.

It'd be easier to make a choice if Calvin had a qb that could throw the ball. We really have no idea how good CJ could be.need to add another to that list Sydney Rice out of South Carolina. I don't understand why people think Holmes is just a deep threat. This guy runs great routes. He is very clean in and out of his breaks, much like a Marvin Harrison.Physically they are similarSimilar prospect to Mark Clayton. I really like him, think he is the better NFL prospect than Ginn. Is known as a big play receiver, which he is, but I think he runs very good routes....Holmes is supposedly 5'11" [to Clayton's 5'10"], Holmes has a 4.36 40-time of record [but we'll see if he can match that when it counts] to Clayton's 4.40 40-time, and both are in the 190-195 lb. mark.I would say Clayton was the more disciplined route runner, but Holmes a better athlete. Hard to say conclusively whether Holmes is really the better athlete though until we see him work out at his Pro Day.
I wouldn't mind the Niners trading down and drafting him. They really need some playermakers on the outside to help Alex Smith out.Well the Lions WR's didn't do squat all year, so maybe he goes there.
If not, what other teams do you think might take a look at him?
He was a Redshirt Freshman, so he is eligible to come out next year.Isn't Rice a freshman?need to add another to that list Sydney Rice out of South Carolina. Iowa cornerback Jovon Johnson when asked which OSU WR he'd rather cover:
"If I wanted to be successful, I'd rather go against Ginn. Because Holmes is more of a receiver and Ginn is more of an athlete. (Holmes) has excellent speed and excellent hands but his route-running is probably what makes him a great receiver. He gets in and out of routes quick."

This would be AWESOME. I would love to see Millen draft yet another WR with his top pick.Well the Lions WR's didn't do squat all year, so maybe he goes there.
I think Hester is too raw in his coverage abilities to be a first rounder as a CB. I would rank guys like Alan Zemaitis and Tye Hill ahead of him right now.Where does Hester fall on the pecking order? I read somewhere he plans on running a 4.2. I would have to think if he runs anything sub 4.3 he will skyrocket up the charts.
If you watched the Miami v. LSU Bowl game this past weekend, you would've seen that Hester is now becoming more of a WR than a DB.He was all over the place on offense and coaches talked of showcasing him as an offensive weapon in that game which they did. Coaches talked of making him Miami's version of Reggie Bush next year if he returns.I think Hester is too raw in his coverage abilities to be a first rounder as a CB. Interesting..didn't hear about that yet, thanks for the info. Not to hijack here, but is he going into the draft as a DB or a WR?He declared for the draft already. If you watched the Miami v. He should be the first WR off the board. He's in the Joey Galloway/Terry Glenn OSU mold. Very fast, bigtime playmaker.
I did miss that one, but caught that coker was promising a switch to offense next year - although i wasnt sure if that was a ploy to get him to return to school.I wouldnt grade Hester any higher than Jerome Mathis graded this year, and he's obviously even more raw at the WR position than Mathis was coming out of Hampton. Matt Jones breaking into the first with no WR experience has more to do with his size and natural hands than his pure speed, so i dont think hester could get in the first. I would also be wary of taking Hester with expectation of more than him being a return specialist/special scripted play guy. You have to ask yourself if Hester was being switched to offense because of his potential there, or his failure on defense. Hester started at Miami as a WR and was switched to defense, had to be a reason for that. Now, Coker was going to switch him back to offense because he struggled with CB - how is it going to change at the pro level? I have doubts about Hester's ability to master route running and the mental side of the game in general. If you watched the Miami v.
