Santonio Holmes (1 Viewer)

Any Steeler fans care to weigh in on Santonio? He did get nearly a half dozen passes yesterday before half and with the Lions seemingly buried; his targets were not way off line from the other passing options, either.

REC YDS AVG TD LG TGTS

H. Ward 7 85 12.1 1 21 7

H. Miller 5 54 10.8 1 15 6

M. Wallace 2 52 26.0 1 47 5

S. Holmes 4 50 12.5 0 20 6

M. Moore 3 20 6.7 0 7 3

Mendenhll 2 16 8.0 0 9 2

L. Sweed 0 0 0.0 0 0 1

However, Santonio has been pretty quiet after week 1. Has Wallace's emergence marginalized Holmes? Or something else at play here?

Not at all.Holmes draws the #1 CB and typically gets a safety rolled to his side. His presence is what allows Ward, Miller, and Wallace the space to operate that they have.Far from irrelevant, he remains the Steelers most dangerous receiver and if D's choose to account for the other receivers in the pattern routinely he will make plenty of plays.

Holmes' stats look similar to last years. He has 2-3 good games with the rest being mediocre for a WR2. I think people were too high on him because of last years playoffs.

Looks like I'm going to win this week despite playing Holmes in my lineup over Housh.

Holmes meet bench, bench meet Holmes.
