Sauasge Party Movie (1 Viewer)

I think this group of guys makes funny movies (Is It The End & Neighbors were both hilarious) so I'll give it a chance. But if the only funny thing about it is cartoons cursing, like the trailer seemed to be, I'll pass.

Yeah, I have no problem with swearing but the F-bombs in the trailer felt forced.

Although I don't think these guys make funny movies from start to finish, far more jokes fall flat than hit, but there are always a couple of hilarious moments that make the films worth it.

Trailer is pretty funny, I'm curious if they can get a 90-ish-minute move out of it.

I think my favorite visual gag in the trailer is the can of spaghetti trying to stuff his "guts" back in.

Just kidding mquinnjr.  I am not 100% certain as I have never searched it but I am pretty sure that is one of those searches you don't want in your search history.

Trailer was pretty funny. Sort of a Toy Story feel to the whole thing, from the animation right down to being chosen.

Apparently there is a pretty big food orgy scene, featuring some gay meat on meat action, that even the creators were shocked got past the MPAA.

No idea what the movie is about, but the ad came on the other day and my 12yo daughter laughingly says "Why is that rated R? Its a movie about food?".

In June, a theater played the R rated version of the trailer before a 'Finding Dory' showing and got in a bit of trouble! Oops!

love how PC twats and actors/actresses scream "STEREOTYPE!!1!1!!1"

... then take a role (Hayek/Taco) that feeds right the #### into it

Frida Kahlo, my ###

:coffee:

Theater tonight has 1st shows at 7PM and every hour until about 11, usually never run out on a Thursday to the movies but I might have to make an exception and report back. Not a lot of rated R toons hit the screens these days.

$23 Million Projection

Im gonna say this shoots over. Stoners don't usually buy up tickets weeks in advance, the sensational reviews

Some of the comments from National Review types...

-Looks like Pixar, plays like Monty Python...

-Relentlessly Filthy, Jaw-Dropping Funny

I'm confused by the people having issues with the name of this movie as if the name wasn't chosen for that exact reason.

My 14 year old cracks up every time this preview comes on, laughing at the same jokes.  One day I rolled my eyes and said this looks so stupid.  His response was "I don't think this movie is targeted at someone your age, dad."  Thanks for making me feel old son!

sometimes it was  :lmao:

but a lot of

It was funny. I'm not going to say it was the funniest thing I've ever seen but it was mostly pretty funny.

Atheists will like the movie a lot, no spoilers but there is some poignant moments where it's actually discussed, sound stoner logic for sure.

I also recommend.  Laughed a lot.
I liked how they brought up the issue of people basically knowing the truth or presented with the truth and still make a choice to blindly believe. I have felt that way about religion in general for a long time. I'm not sure anything ground breaking happened but it was good to see the issue brought up and unwrapped a little within a cartoon of all things.

The orgy scene had everyone laughing, decent crowd in my theater, maybe half packed.

Yeah, orgy scene was great and came at a good time.  I thought the second half of the movie was starting to drag -- too much with the plot development/dramatic escapes, not enough with the funny.  But then, boom, orgy.

Beg strong, middle got a little slow agreed, end was a hoot. Considering all the other movies billed as comedies where I don't laugh much, this was a welcome change.

Did about $3M+ on Thurs Previews

Some are now projecting a $15M weekend, that would be a little lighter than I anticipated. If you do try and go, I would encourage some form of relaxation be it the stuff they enjoy in the movie or liquor/beer, this is not something you really want to view totally sober IMO. More fun if you're having fun.

Was a little disappointed. Maybe it was because I had just listened to Seth Rogen on Stern earlier in the day, and all the excitement he brought to the pitch. He also called the orgy the funniest scene in any of his movies ever...so it fell a little short for me.

Liked the stuff outside the store (especially the trailer scene) and everything involving ethnicity of the foods. But agree the second half dragged.

My wife loved it though and she was sober as a judge. Other couple we went with split between ok (girl) and hated (guy).
