SB XLIII -- 400th playoff game (1 Viewer)

Since the 1966 season that introduced the Super Bowl to the world, there have been 399 playoff games. This year's Super Bowl will be the 400th game in the Super Bowl Era.

Bart Starr, of course, has an undefeated post-season record in the SBE -- he went 5-0 in '66 and '67, the last two seasons of his career with a winning record. Two other QBs have started at least one post-season game and won and never started a post-season game and lost. Who are they?

On the other side, three QBs have started three playoff games and yet never won a post-season game in the SBE. Name them.

I'll play....

On question 1 --

Frank Reich - I knew he won 1 he started and looked it up and forgot about the second one -- he was 2-0

On question 2

- Trent Green? He lost in 2003 and 2006....don't know if he had a loss before going to KC

- Bert Jones? The Colts of the late 70s came up short a lot

I suppose some hints are due:

1) As you would probably expect, this is a career backup who came in for a post-season game, won it, and then the starter came back.

2) Missing a guy from about 20 years ago.

1) guy from the Oilers? can't remember and don't feel like searching

2) Bobby Hebert?
1) Yes, Gifford Nielsen led the Oilers over the Chargers 17-14, on a day when the three stars of the team Dan Pastorini, Earl Campbell and Ken Burrough did not play. Fouts' 5 INTs probably helped there.2) Hebert is correct.

Steve Grogan is the third answer.

So Grogan, Hebert and Jones all went 0-3. Warren Moon gets honorable mention for most games under .500, at 3-7.
