Scaife in the land of Vince (1 Viewer)

A little, but I still think Troupe outperforms Scaife over the course of the season. I would expect that Vince will struggle to put up decent passing numbers in his first two starts against Dallas and Indy, so relying on a back-up TE from a team with a rookie QB is risky. Scaife has looked good, so its worth picking him up, but he has a high risk of busting, at least over the next couple of weeks.

With Vince Young starting for his first time today, look for him to key on his TE'S. Scaife and Troupe should have a lot of opportunities today. I'm sure Scaife will see more balls being thrown his way due to VY being more comfortable with Scaife.

I concur, which makes things difficult today. I doubt anyone has the answer, but I'm having a tough time deciding which to start. (have to, Shockey's bye)

I have Shockey (bye) and Desmond Clark (injured) so I was looking for a TE to play this week. I could have picked up Scaife or Troupe but couldn't decide between the two.
I ended up taking Bubba Franks. It will at least give me something to watch on Monday Night.

I'm going ahead and taking a flier on Scaife. He's been involved so far, and with his history with Young, I'll take a shot.
My alternative is Cooley... he makes me angry, and Jacksonville is in his near future.

I think Troupe, like Chris Perry, is one of the most overhyped players on this board in terms of production. You can make a compelling argument about why you like either's long term prospects, but in the moment, they have little value. If you need a start today, I much prefer Scaife. His rookie season was as good as Troupe's and he is making much more out of his opportunities right now.

Any Titan's homers want to comment on Scaife? I haven't seen him play, just his stat line. Is he getting more looks and playing time then Troupe? I think he has the potential to be a good one in a dynasty league, especially with the apparent chemistry with Young.

From what I have seen, Bo is simply outperforming everyone. He isn't getting the most targets, but he is catching more of them. They're not all easy catches, due to him being a lower priority for the defense (although that is part of it). Troupe is still on the field more, but there isn't as much difference between these two as I, or most people, had thought.

Ben Troupe is such a waste of time in the FF land this year. WTF happened to this guy? He had solid stats last year and he has completely dropped off the map now. Yikes.....
